I will give you a card making challenge that will fit into a story and with each new round a new "chapter" will unfold. There will be 12 rounds. The 5th and 10th round no one will be eliminated but the winner of that round will get an award depending on how hard I make the challenge. This will be called a "BOSS ROUND." At the end of every normal round 2 contestants will be eliminated. [/center][center][spoiler='PRIZES'][/center][center]1ST- 100% OF THE POT[/center][center]BOSS ROUND 1- TBA[/center][center]BOSS ROUND 2- TBA[/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='POT AMOUNT'][/center][center][b]7255 PTS[/b][/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='Round 1'][/center][center]Twenty people walk through the narrow corridor not making a sound. They are to nervous to speak. The corridor is only lit every few meters with a low burning torch. The lighting makes the shadows dance as if they are alive. The silence is only broken by the sound of shuffling feet, the drip of water, and the occasional squeak of rat. Finally, after what seemed like eternity, the group of twenty enter a large round room that is brightly lit. They shield there eyes from the blinding light. After their eyes adjust they lower their hands and look around. The room is bare except for a few pillars that are lined through out the room and a few mounted weapons that hung like awards on the wall. Standing in the middle of the room is a man. He beckons them to come closer. The group looks around at each other and then finally, as if making the decision that they were not in any immediate danger, the approach the black clad man. When the group was circled around the man he began to speak.[/center][center]"Welcome, to the tournament of the century. I am your humble host Talos. Thousands have applied for the opportunity that you are being given and I have hand picked you twenty. You will be faced difficult challenges and after each one of them 2 of you will be eliminated one way or another." Talos says with a malicious smile on his face. [/center][center]Taking the pause as his opportunity one of the contestants asks a question, "What exactly are the challenges going to be? You never told us."[/center][center]Talos once again lets another evil smile crawl across his face. "All I can tell you at the moment is that they will be difficult, but do not worry I believe that each and every one of you have the potential to win. This brings me to tell you the first task." Talos said and then with a snap of his fingers the door that the contestants had entered through snapped shut with a loud clang that made a few of the contestants jump. Then with another snap a large metal gate across the room, that the contestants hadn't noticed at first, started to open with a hiss that indicated metal was rubbing against metal. As the gate finished opening and the sound that had resonated through out the room dispersed a low growl could be heard coming from the black abyss that the gate had opened up.[/center][center] "In that cave is one of my...err..."pets." He has not been fed nor has he been watered in a few days and he is very hungry. Your first task is to defeat him, whether that means to kill or immobilize him I don't really care." Talos announced. After a few seconds of silence Talos let out a shrill whistle and as its sound died the scraping of something hard could be heard through out the room. Out of the cave came a creature of immortal make, not human, lion fronted and snake behind, goat in the middle. Then, as if it could not get worse the creature let out a horrendous roar and out of its nostrils and mouth it snorted the terrifying light of fire. The contestants let out a sigh of relief after seeing that it was bound by a chain.[/center][center]"Chimera." One of the contestants murmured.[/center][center]"Yes, yes he is." Talos said with admiration of his fantastic.[/center][center]"If you like this creature so much," one of the contestants remarked hearing the admiration in Talos' voice ,"why have us kill it."[/center][center]"Because it has given birth to a young, strong Chimera and I have no need for two. You may begin." And with a final snap of his fingers Talos disappeared in wisp of smoke. Suddenly the chain broke and the Chimera leaped toward the twenty contestants.[/center][center][spoiler='Chimera'][/center][center][img]http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/2571/chimerasonofechidna.png[/img][/center][center]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 2 Beast or Beast-Warrior-Type and 1 Reptile-Type monster. Once per turn you can select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field and place 1 Bitten Counter on it. If this card attacks a monster with 1 or more Bitten Counters on it, decrease the attack targets ATK and DEF points by 800 points x the number of Bitten Counters on it. If this card destroys a monster by battle you can discard 1 card to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of cards in your Graveyard x 300.[/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='Stage Conditions'][/center][center]Create a WATER support Field Spell Card and 1 WATER monster.[/center][center]DEADLINE: [/center][center]March 24th[/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center]The contestants scattered seconds before the Chimera hit the ground where they all had been standing seconds before hand. The Chimera let lose another roar that shook the ground. The contestants all took a step back from the ferocious beast. The Chimera's eyes scanned the crowd of twenty looking for his first victim. The lion's head locked its eyes on one the contestants that was slightly in front of the others. The Chimera's tail whipped out from behind it and bit the warrior in the arm. He let out gurgled scream but managed to remain standing. He ripped off the long sleeve that was covering the arm that had been bit, and two large holes stared at him where the Chimera's tail had bit him. He muttered a few quick words and the wound glowed blue. Immediately the wounds started to close but he could do nothing about the venom that was now coursing through his veins. In a mighty attempt to take the beasts life he started to chant another long string of words, each one more complicated than the next. A small light appeared at his side and it grew larger and larger until finally it was as large as him. Then, something even more mysterious started to occur, a human arm poked its way out of the portal followed by elegant blue robes, but before the woman could step completely out of the portal the Chimera, who had been expected its victim to drop dead by now, let lose a mighty breath of fire engulfing the portal and its summoner. When the flames and smoke cleared nothing remained but a pile of ash. All the while during this encounter the rest of the contestants had stood stock still, but one finally took a step towards the mighty beast and with each step his body seemed to morph. When he was 20 feet from the Chimera he was a huge figure silhouetted by a strange mist, but before he could attack the Chimera slammed its goat head into the warrior's stomach. This sent to the warrior flying and he hit the wall with a crash. The rest of the contestant's looked at him, he was back to his normal form, but unconscious. This second attack jarred the rest of the contestants into action.[/center][center]They quickly drew back away from the Chimera. Some of them grabbing weapons that hung on the weapons and throwing them at the Chimera, but with no effect. It was then that they realized that no human or any mortal weapon would harm this creature. They would have to resort to magic. They each summoned creatures from alternate dimensions and far off realms(except for a few that had seemed to disappear). They attack together, but each of them was quickly smacked down by the Chimera. It would seem that first challenge was to much for them. Meanwhile, the few contestants that seemed to be missing were conversing in a dark corridor that they had ran down when the fighting had begun.[/center][center] "There is no way that we would stand a chance against that thing." A contestant under the battle name YGO Party stated.[/center][center]"Not true." Zextra, another contestant, said.[/center][center]"Yes, I do believe that I have a plan." BT, the final member of the trio announced. He quickly told them what he had in mind and the other two nodded after hearing his idea. [/center][center]They quietly stepped out of the corridor into the room where the Chimera had was standing over an unconscious competitor readying itself to eat him. Acting quickly BT grabber a piece of stone that had fallen off of the ceiling during the fight and chunked it at one of the Chimera' s heads. When it hit the Chimera, a dull THUNG resonated through out the room. The Chimera snapped its attention towards the three competitors that had not yet been hurt in the fight. It snarled and then lunged at the three of them. They quickly spread apart each one saying part of an incantation. Black lines, as if drawn by ink, appeared and connected the trio forming a triangle around the Chimera. The triangle began to glow and the trio along with the Chimera were transported to a city that seemed to floating in the sky. The sun shown brightly and rivers of rich, clear water streamed pass them falling off the edge of the floating land. Instead of birds in the soaring over head school of fish swam over head. They had transported themselves to the newly risen city of Atlantis. When the original city had fell beneath the ocean waves the inhabitants of the city had built a new one, but instead of building it on the water they had built it in the sky, away from the waves that sunken the original. Yet the creators did not want to miss out on the joys of watching the fish swim by so they laid a spell around the city that made it so that the air would seem like water to all sea dwellers. The Chimera tried to let out a scorching breath of fire but the fire dispersed quicker than it had appeared. The air would not allow fire to break its peace. The warriors all locked eyes and that is when they started to change into creatures that were far more superior than the other contestants had used. But as YGO Party was nearing the end of his transformation the Chimera did something unexpected and lashed at it with its tail, struck him with its goat head and tore a piece of him out with its sharp lion teeth. The shock of the attack sent YGO Party falling off the floating city never to be seen again.[/center][center]Now enraged, and fully transformed, BT and Zextra attacked with there giant ocean dwellers. They made quick work of the Chimera, who was unable to use its greatest weapon, fire. As BT went in for the killing blow he was swatted away by the Chimera's large claw and was sent reeling into one of the nearest buildings. Distracted the Chimera did not notice Zextra diving towards it in a killing arc until it was to late. The two were forced to change back into their normal forms after defeating the Chimera because they were low on energy. They did not have enough energy to transport back, but as this dawned on them Talos appeared next to the two contestants in a puff of smoke. "Nice job." He said and then he clicked his fingers and all three of them were back in the room of the wounded warriors. [/center][center]True to his battle, Venom, stood up after healing his other wounds he did not need to be cured from the Chimera's venom for he was immune to all toxins. He helped heal the other warriors of their wounds and when they were all fit to stand Talos stood in front of them.[/center][center]"Zextra, you are obviously the winner of this round and now you have an impossible choice in front of you. Would you like to enter the cave the Chimera was in or would you like to go in to the depths unknown of another cave."[/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='Round 2'][/center][center]"You want me to decide?" Zextra asked skeptical.[/center][center]"Yes, that is what I said." Talos replied.[/center][center]"Um...well...I..." Zextra stuttered as he felt the weight of the situation hit him like a bull.[/center][center]"Choose The Chimera's Cave." One of the contestants shouted.[/center][center]"No, choose the other one. You saw what that thing could do!" Another said.[/center][center]"It is your chose Zextra." Talos said indicating that he needed an answer.[/center][center]Zextra thought about which would be the right choice. Sure the Chimera had been hard, but that meant that it probably killed anything threatening in the cave. "I choose The Chimera's Cave." Zextra said and he was met with some sighs of relief and some moans of disappointments from the others. [/center][center]"Interesting choice." Talos said with a small look of surprise. He gestured for the group to lead their way down the cave. Naturally they all filed in behind Zextra for two reasons. One was that so far he had proven to be the strongest, and two if anything dangerous lurked in the cave it would eat him first. The competitors shuffled silently down the cave but suddenly the floor cave way underneath them and they fell...hard. They all hit the ground with a large THUMP. They got up one by one and looked around silently they had fallen into a tunnel underneath the cave. [/center][center]"What do you do now?" A competitor by the battle name The Vast White Reshiram asked.[/center][center]"I guess we just keep on going." Another competitor, Lexadin, replied simply. [/center][center]"Yes, but which way?" Spoon asked.[/center][center]"That way." Goodnight said, as he pointed toward one end of the tunnel. The rest of the competitors wondered why, but then they say that the end of the tunnel had a faint orange light radiating from it. The competitors shrugged and went moving in that direction and turned the corner. They soon wished they hadn't, facing them was a group of short tanned men. They were hammering away on red hot strips of metal that laid upon anvils. The competitors tried to back away but one of the small men saw them. He spoke out in a strange language.[/center][center]"Dwarvish!" One of the contestants muttered. The short men rushed forward in a wave of muscular arms and forged weapons. They quickly overpowered the group and the contestants were knocked unconscious. They all came to about the same time and found themselves tied up in a hot room. They looked around and saw that they were being watched over by a burly guard. [/center][center][spoiler='Stage Conditions'][/center][center][img]http://img862.imageshack.us/img862/5993/hammerwieldingdwarf.png[/img][/center][center]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing a monster on your side of the field equipped with an Equip Spell with the word "Hammer" or "Axe" in its name. Once per turn you can return 1 FIRE monster and 1 Rock or Machine-Type monster you control to your hand to select 1 Equip Spell Card in your Deck or Graveyard and equip it to this card. If this card is equipped with a card that has the word "Hammer" or "Axe" in its name, it cannot be destroyed as a result of battle. [/center][center][b]Create a continuous Spell or Trap Card that removes monsters on your side of the field from play for a turn to protect them from being destroyed by an attack or effect. Then create an Equip Spell Card that can only be equipped to a monster that has been removed from play at least once during the Duel.[/b][/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center]"We are never going to get out of here." The Vast White Reshiram said.[/center][center]"Don't say that we will find a way." Zextra said.[/center][center]"I think I know something that will get us out of here." Spoon whispered to the others, so that the guard would hear.[/center][center]Spoon started to chant quietly as if casting an incantation and then with a brilliant flash and a muffled explosion Spoon was gone. The ropes that hand bound Spoon fell to the ground. The guard stared at where Spoon had been in shock. The boss would have his head. [/center][center]"Where go?" The dwarf asked with as much English it could muster.[/center][center]No one answered. The dwarf raised his hammer and brought it down on one the competitors with a sickening squish. The victim didn't even see it coming, didn't even make a noise. "Where go?!" The dwarf demanded.[/center][center]"Right here." The guard turned around and was hit with a sphere of flames straight in the face. The guard hit the floor, clearly unconscious. Spoon stepped over the body and stood over the tied up competitors.[/center][center]"Free us." Venom said impatient.[/center][center]"It would be easier if I didn't." Spoon replied. It was then that voices could be heard and they were getting closer. "Oh fine!" Spoon said, clearly worried about the incoming Dwarves. After all the competitors were untied they took the only exit they could fine that led away from the voices. They continued down a tunnel, taking countless twists and turns, but they came to a cavern that lead into a dead end. In the cavern were cages that held twisting flames. The competitors were sure to not get to close to whatever was in them. [/center][center]The contestants tried to go back the way they came but then they heard the voices of dwarves. They were trapped.[/center][center] [/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='Round 3'][/center][center]Without hesitation Spoon turned around and headed for one of the cages and tried to break open the lock. [/center][center]"What are you doing?!" -Dingo- exclaimed.[/center][center]"Giving us a chance to survive!" Spoon snapped back. "Come and help me." Spoon said after the others did not do anything. The rest of the contestants cast a questioning look at each other and then shrugged. Each of them went to a cage and attempted to bust open the lock that held it close. After a few straining minutes one of the locks broke and then another, quickly followed by another, until all the cages were just doors on hinges. The competitors let the doors open right as the dwarves started to make their way into the room.[/center][center]Out of each cell a burst of flames rocketed out and towards the crowd of dwarves. At first the dwarves did not react, for they were surprised at what they were seeing, but then all heck broke loose. The dwarves tried to turn tail and run, but there were so many of them they could not get out. The jets of flames descended upon the dwarves burning them alive, until there was nothing left. Granted it took a while for a dwarf to burn for they had hard skin meant for being at the forges for days on end. After a dwarf went down another erupted into flames. Soon nothing was left of the dwarves. The competitors all stood open mouthed at the seen before. [/center][center]Then they were shocked back into reality when one of the jets flames spat a large glob of magma at them. They all easily sidestepped it. [/center][center]"From the frying pan and into the fire." Once per turn you can increase this card's level by 1 and increase its ATK points by 300. Blocking off the only path of escaping. "What do we do now?" Venom asked.[/center][center]"We fight." -Dingo- replied. He charged at one of the flame monsters, but as he neared it two others lashed out their tails and ensnared -Dingo- in flames. -Dingo- screamed in pain as the fire burned away his flesh. Within minutes there was nothing left of him. [/center][center]"This is bad." Zextra said as he pulled a large shield from his back to protect himself.[/center][center]The fiery snakes started to close in around them. None of the competitors knew what to do. They were trapped with no way of getting out. Without warning, the monsters shot globs of magma into the air. The magma hit Rio. and without a sound he melted before the other's eyes. [/center][center]"Oh my gosh. They took out two of us in a matter of minutes." Venom muttered. "I am not going to end like that." Venom started to draw strange symbols on the floor in front of him. The symbols began to glow and two beings started to appear. A harsh light blinded everyone and everything in the room. When the light died down two enormous creatures stood in front of Venom.[/center][center]"What are they?" Lexadin asked.[/center][center]"Spirits of the fallen." Venom replied simply.[/center][center]The fiery monsters stared at the monsters that radiated death. Then suddenly they all sprung on top of them. When the snakes hit the creatures globs of bone and foul looking substance fell away from the monsters. To everyone's surprise the globs sprung up and took a shape of their own. The newly formed monsters rushed into battle to help the others. [/center][center]Taking advantage of the distraction the competitors ran to the exit.[/center][center]"Wait, they could still follow us." Kai reminded the others.[/center][center]"I think I have a solution." Venom said. He began once again to draw strange symbols on the ground and once again a harsh light blinded them. When it died down instead of a new creature two large doors had appeared in front of them.[/center][center]"Help me open them!" Venom cried as he rushed to the other side. The other competitors followed him and together they thrust open the doors. A foul smelling, yellow gas started to creep out of the opened doors that seemed to lead to no where. [/center][center]"Run." Venom said and the others did not need to be told twice. They all ran at a break neck pace as they heard the sound of the fiery snakes dieing. The group did not stop until they somehow reached the surface. [/center][center]"It is so good to see sun light again." Spoon cried. [/center][center]"Finally, safe." Zextra sighed out.[/center][center]"Don't be so sure." Lexadin said as he pointed to a large, oncoming dust cloud. [/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='Round 4'][/center][center]The competitors eyed the oncoming dust cloud nervously. They started to edge away from it. They were tired and did not want to risk another fight so soon. "Wait!" Venom said. "We are not cowards. We will not run from which we are afraid. We will stand and let ourselves be heard. We will not give into fear." The competitors once again eyed the dust cloud nervously, but they did not move. The dust cloud neared and the competitors saw that horses galloped in the dust cloud and their fear eased. It was not until the horses were nearly on top of them that they realized the horses were in fact centaurs. The centaurs stopped in front of them and surveyed the group. An awkward silence settled between them. [/center][center]"We are in need of your help." One of the centaurs said at last.[/center][center]"And what would that be?" Lexadin asked.[/center][center]"An evil sorcerer has cast a spell upon our land and turned our forest into a desert. We are in need of water and food. We know you possess magic powers. Will you help us?"[/center][center]"I will." Venom said without hesitation.[/center][center]"As will I." Zextra agreed. Slowly the rest of the competitors agreed to help.[/center][center]"Excellent. Let us not tarry. Is there anything you need?" The lead centaur asked.[/center][center]"Our magic would be stronger in a place of great spiritual or mystical energy." Spoon announced.[/center][center]"Then climb on our backs. I know just the place." The competitors clambered on the backs of the centaurs. When they were all set and ready the centaurs took off at a pace faster than they had thought possible. They galloped for ten minutes until the centaurs stopped at a small oasis. The competitors dismounted.[/center][center]"Sit in the circles surrounding the pond." The lead centaur commanded. The competitors did and they instantly felt an unimaginable power wash over them. [/center][center]"Please begin."[/center][center][spoiler='Requirements'][/center][center][b]Create a 'forest' based Field Spell and 1 Equip Spell Card that can only be equipped to a Spellcaster-Type monster. The Equip Spell must have an ability that allows you to search for Spell Cards in your deck.[/b][/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][/spoiler][/center][center][spoiler='Round 5'][/center][center][center]The competitors all began to chant. Their voices did not match, nor did their words, but yet the spell seemed to have an effect on the surrounding environment. Plants started to grow where there was once nothing but sand. Water started to appear where there was nothing but dirt. It was as if the land was being born anew. Soon the tree's grew tall and the puddles turned into lakes, the lakes turned into streams. The air was alive with sounds of animals that had seemingly appeared out of thin air. All throughout this incredible transformation the group continued chanting.[/center][center]
[/center][center]Then something went wrong. The animals stopped singing, the plants stopped growing, the water stayed where it was. The newly awakened forest was deathly silent, except for the continuous chanting of the competitors. The centaurs, that had been watching the entire time moved to stop the group and end the spell, but as they approached a wall of sand erupted at their feet, forcing them back. The sand wall dispersed, but the centaurs' did not dare near the group.[/center][center]
[/center][center]By this time the competitors' chanting had died down and they were awakening from the trance like state they had been in when casting the spell. Right away the sensed something was wrong. As if on cue a hole opened up beneath two of the competitors, Kai and Zextra, and they were swallowed up. It did not take long, nor was it intricate. It was faster than anyone thought possible. One second they were standing their. The next they were not. It made no sense, but it happened.[/center][center]
[/center][center]The others stared in disbelief at where the two had been standing moments before. It was then a column of sand shot from the pond in front of them. It shot sand into their faces, forcing them to turn away. When the geyser of sand finished erupting the competitors turned their faces back to where the geyser had shot up. Standing their was a woman in black clothes. She wore a hat and boots and she carried a peculiar weapon. Her red hair tumbled down her shoulders, stopping at the small of her back.[/center][center]
[/center][center]"Who are thee?" She asked in a voice that radiated malevolence and power.[/center][center]
[/center][center]"That is none of your concern." Venom replied.[/center][center]
[/center][center]"But it is. Thou have seemed to destroy my desert. Did thee not appreciate its beauty? Did thee not see it wonder?"[/center][center]
[/center][center]"It was a barren wasteland full of misery and lifelessness." Lexadin said.[/center][center]
[/center][center]"Death is beauty. Misery is wonder. Thee had no right to destroy my art. For that thou must pay."[/center][center]
[/center][center]"What do they call you?" HitoKage asked.[/center][center]
[/center][center]"Desera. Remember my name, for I will be the last person you every lay eyes on." As she said this a hand of sand shot out from the ground and hit each of the competitors in turn, causing them to fall back. They got up and try to back away, but with a flick of Desera's wrists a wall of sand surrounded the oasis, keeping all others out and trapping the competitors in.[/center][center][spoiler='Desera, the Witch of Sand'][/center][center][img]http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/1829/266107sw.jpg[/img][/center][center]This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by sending to the Graveyard 3 EARTH monsters in your hand. If this card destroys a monster by battle you can remove from play 1 EARTH monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Sand Token(Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/ DEF 0) to your opponent's side of the field. The Token's Special Summoned by this card cannot be Tributed, used as Synchro Material monsters, or switch Battle Positions.
