Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster from your Deck. Is this card even really used? I tend to look at it whenever I skim through my binder and I feel like at least trying it out. This card can't be that bad. It basically lets you summon a monster after a Dark Hole or a Torrential Tribute or anything more that destroys, really. 1000 life points isn't such a hefty cost, either. What do you think?
evilfusion
I hated this card. It confused me so badly when it wouldn't let me activate it in video games. Then I discovered that it can't be used during the Damage Step, and so only works against Effect Destruction. I always hated any Normal Trap that implied it could be used when a monster is destroyed in battle, but in actuality can't (Rise of the Snake Deity is another offender). Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
People are all into chainables these days, and this isn't chainable. It might be used in something that requires you to have a specific monster down, like... as an example, Giant Rat. However, there's also a lot of times you wouldn't want to activate this because your monster would just go away anyways. I don't think it's a bad card, but it's not amazing either. Oh Hell. That's actually a pretty stupid ruling. If it could be used against battle destruction, I'm sure at least a few decks would run it. I still find it mildly useable, though. That's one reason why I stopped assuming cards worked precisely as shown in the anime. Rise of the Snake Deity was the same thing. Vennominon was destroyed in Battle. I gathered that Normal Traps that don't specifically state "destroyed in Battle" don't activate when a monster is destroyed in battle. Which annoys me why it's worded the way it is with just "destroyed and sent to Graveyard".

If this card could be chained to destruction in Battle, then it would be 10 times more playable. Otherwise, no.
evilfusion
Jar of Greed gets you a card from the top of your deck at any time. This lets you Summon a level 4 monster from your deck when a monster of yours is destroyed by an effect. They aren't similar except in card advantage and the type of card.
