Self-Destruct Button

Recommended Posts

I run it in Final Countdown, because the opponent's face is hilarious when they realize they spent the last 15-20 turns vainly struggling through all my stall tactics, dwindled down my constantly increasing LP, the pressure increasing with every turn...only to get an automatic draw before they strike the final blow.

Not as powerful due to the Solemn Counter Traps, which makes it a bit difficult to have 7000 less LP than the opponent.

This card goes against current tournament policy ("you must not try to deliberately cause a game to end in a draw"). May as well be banned because of that, really.

I don't know if that means it as "The duel ending in a draw is illegal". That would suggest any card that deals mutual burn damage is illegal, because you could NOT activate it and take a loss, but if you do activate it, you deliberately caused the game to end in a draw.

Self-destruct Button exists to cause draws, but draws are better than a loss, so I can see logically putting this in your deck in things like Exodia or Final Countdown, where the win condition by default puts you at severe risk of defeat, while inflicting very little damage to the opponent.

I think that policy is more to discourage extremely cheap plays, like winning game 1 and then using your Side Deck to grab 2 draws in quick succession.
