Anyways, I came to the place like 10 minutes before it started. Apparently, there were only 8 of us. So yeah, I signed in, payed the fee and we started. I was playing 60 card themless highlander. Round 1: Roids Game 1: My hand was Caius, CyDra, Trunade, Birdman, Warning and something else. He goes first turn Stealth Union and 2 backrow. I clear backrow with Trunade, drop CyDra, sack for Caius, remove his Union. The he tries to E-Con + Drillroid my Caius, but I Warning it and he scoops. Game 2: First turn Nexus Dragon + Waning and Compulsory He scoops again 1-0 Round 2: Apex Avian Lockdown Game 1: Avian + Thunderbird + Divine Wind is just ridiculous. He locks me down early and I can't do nothing. Game 2: This time, I get rid of his Avian before he acomplishes lock. The I just beat him down with random monsters and Synchros. There was no Game 3, as his dad comes and takes him home. Apparently, they had some emergency in family. I win by default 2-0 Round 3: Samurais Game 1: I still don't get how she could go first turn triple Shi En and have 7 cards in hand. And set no backrow. I didn't want to scoop yet, because I had a pretty good hand. I went Nexus Dragon, Believed in Nexus, and... revealed 3 tuners. Fo' real. Won this one Game 2: Crappy hand, set a Trolljar and Prison. She goes Shi En + 3 Kizan + Grandmaster. So yeah Game 3: Don't remember this game, dunno why. Either way, I lost 2-1 So yeah, I was 2nd. Got 2 STOR packs and 1 Movie Pack. Sounds sort of like my locals back in the day, except their decks were more theme-based. This sort of thing just shows how much better YCMers are at dueling than regular duelists off the street.
