I've had this idea in the works since yesterday; only until now did I choose to post it (mostly because it's hard finding good pics -_-). This set consists of only 2 trainers, their Pokemon, and 2 Spells.

READ THIS FIRST.
The Types for this set are Trainer-Type and Pokemon-Type. If you tell me so much as they aren't real types, I will make your life miserable. Any questions? No? Good. ^____^
Lore:
When this card is Summoned, you can place 1 Black Counter or 1 White Counter on this card (max. 5 of each, and 1 type of counter at a time). As long as you control a face-up Pokemon-Type monster, this card cannot be declared an attack target. Once per turn, you can pay 500 Life Points to place 1 Black Counter or 1 White Counter on this card. When there are 5 Black Counters on this card, you can remove 5 Black Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 "Zekrom, Spirit of Yin" from your hand or Deck. When there are 5 White Counters on this card, you can remove 5 White Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 "Reshiram, Spirit of Yang" from your hand or Deck. There can only be 1 face-up "Pokemon Trainer N" on the field.

Lore:
When this card is Summoned and you control no Pokemon-Type monsters, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Pokemon-Type monster from your hand or Deck. This card cannot be declared an attack target as long as a Pokemon-Type monster remains face-up on the field. There can only be 1 face-up "Pokemon Trainer Touko" on the field.

Lore:
This card can only be Summoned by the effect of a Trainer-Type monster. This card's Type is also treated as Aqua. Once per turn, you can place 1 Scalchop Counter on this card (max. 3). This card gains 1 Level and 400 ATK and DEF for every Scalchop Counter on it. When this card's Level is 5, you can Tribute it to Special Summon 1 "Dewott, Underwater Warrior" from your hand or Deck.

Lore:
This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Oshawott, the Unova Otter". This card's Type is also treated as Aqua. When this card is Summoned, place 2 Scalchop Counters on this card (max. 8). If this card destroys a Level 4 or lower monster by battle, place 3 Scalchop Counters on this card. When there are 8 Scalchop Counters on this card, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "Samurott, Noble Warrior of the Sea".

Lore:
This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of "Dewott, Underwater Warrior." This card's Type is also treated as Aqua. When this card attacks, no Spell or Trap Cards can be activated until after the Damage Step. Once per turn, you can destroy 1 monster on your opponent's field with an original ATK of 1800 or less, and gain Life Points equal to that monster's original ATK.

Lore:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pokemon Trainer N". This card's Type is also treated as Thunder. When this card declares an attack, no Trap Cards can be activated until after the Damage Step, and inflict 500 damage to your opponent. If this card declares an attack while "Pokemon - Reshiram, Spirit of Yang" is face-up on the field, this card can attack once again in a row, and inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

Lore:
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Pokemon Trainer N". This card's Type is also treated as Pyro. When this card declares an attack, you can select and destroy 1 Set Spell or Trap on your opponent's field and inflict 500 damage to your opponent. If this card is on the field while "Pokemon - Zekrom, Spirit of Yin" is face-up on the field, you can destroy an additional Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's field, and inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

Lore:
This card can only be activated if you control a face-up "Pokemon Trainer N" and "Zekrom, Spirit of Yin". You gain 700 Life Points during each of your Standby Phases. Whenever "Zekrom, Spirit of Yin" inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, instead of inflicting 500 damage to your opponent, you can gain 500 Life Points instead. Remove this card from play if either "Pokemon Trainer N" or "Zekrom, Spirit of Yin" are removed from the field.

Lore:
Activate while you control a face-up "Pokemon Trainer N", "Pokemon Trainer Touko", and "Reshiram, Spirit of Yang". As long as this card remains face-up on the field while you control a face-up "Reshiram, Spirit of Yang", Trainer-Type monsters you control cannot be removed from the field by your opponent's card effects.

The reason as to why the trainers' ATK and DEF are 0 should be obvious.

Comments/rates please.

Looks like a solid concept, though it could take a while to build up the needed Black/White Counters, the 4 turns it needs for N to get enough he most likely won't survive. Why doesn't he have an ability that let's him Summon a Pokemon, would be only suitable... maybe grant the player an additional Normal Summon to mix things up? Though they're easily summonable themself (Giant Rat loves them), so it's your decision. Touko is more simple, but as I said, the concept is nice, and if you can keep it up with the proper Pokemon, this could turn out to be pretty good. But without knowing those, giving a final opinion now would be a bit too eager ;)

My only advise is less counters to upgrade, or spells that help with evolution (Professors, Breeders ect.) Or they will be dead babies.

If you would, check/rate my Naruto Deck?

Comments/rates are greatly appreciated ^_^
This is clearly a lie. Sorry, but I'm just a little pissed to see that you didn't even recognize that 2 people criticized your cards (even if it was rather positively). Why should we comment if you don't even read them (at least it seems like it), mind telling me that?

I do read the comments, it's just that I usually don't have the time to focus so much on threads with cards in them and their replies, including my own, since I'm usually posting elsewhere or my attention is diverted for extended periods of time (like when I'm playing Pokemon White). Well, that and I'm starting to lose interest in CC, meaning I post rarely, if ever, in Realistic and Pop Culture.

Sorry if I'm pissing you off, it's just that I'm not able to find enough time for card threads on some days, and as such I don't acknowledge (but not intentionally) comments on my threads, and if I ever post in CC nowadays it's only to update my sets (which is just this one at the moment), or post on a friend's thread (which I haven't done since who knows when).

 • 1 month later...

I'm not going to mention the Trainer & Pokemon Types as that's how I used to have it. :P
I don't mean to sound Negative (I like to be honest) but those 2 Cards at the bottom seem way way too situational. Wouldn't it be better to work with say a Trainer-Type and a Legend?

Other then that, it's a really nice concept. Please don't give up on CC. We need more members like you :D

The 2 Spells were designed to be situational though. It's all on whether or not you're able to get them set up.

Somehow, boredom keeps me in CC when nothing else is going on. I might stick around a bit ;D

And thanks for the comment, J-Max ^^

Why would anybody complain about non-real types? This is the pop culture section. We're allowed to put in our own types. Now if this was the realistic cards section where only a forever noob would put in fake types, then complain. Pop culture = Type freedom, Realistic = Realistic, duh.

AoC is Type freedom. Pop Culture is semi Type freedom. Realistic is no Type freedom.

Of course, the last two allow Type freedom if a reasonable explanation is given for legitimate Types that can actually have purpose in the game (or to fit the motif of a show [Pop Culture]).

You going to post an actual comment on the cards?

It's PB&W.
Can I get a real comment on the cards themselves, please?
