Wahrheit
It's one thing to have someone "Find out" that you go to YCM and play Yu-Gi-Oh. It is quite another, however, to tell them that you do, rattle off your win statistics and how you can mercilessly outplay everyone in your way for wonderful, sweet cash. Put it in terms of victory and domination; people will respect you and not f*** with you about it.

I find people like that to have a huge Ego. If they have won the latest Tournament then by all means mention it to people you know like Yu-Gi-Oh. Niv-Mizzet
No one cares or wants to find out what I do online. Lucky me. Also, half the kids at my school at least used to play YGO so it doesn't matter whether I'm playing during lunch and gym and class or not. ?someone?
In my school, yugioh is the modern equivalent of chess club: If you participate in it, you have graduated to another level of nerdiness. So I only talk about it with my similarly nerdy friends.
Yang Xiao-Long
I've only told a few friends about YCM, but then they forget about me ever mentioning this site, so I'm safe. Now Pokemon, on the other hand, is a different story.
Dismal Euphony
A few of my friends know, my one older brother knows, my parents know... It doesn't matter to me. I'm not into Yugioh at all. I only come here for some of the people, thus why I only hang around in Music and General. Even if I was into Yugioh, I wouldn't care. It's not like it's a crime. Yugioh is a very strategic, intellectual game disguised in the form of cards bearing anime monsters. It's a lot better than half of the hobbies that high-schoolers have these days. So do it up, man. Don't even worry about what people say/think. The day you stop giving a f*** what strangers think about you is the day that your life becomes so much better. Don't be afraid to be yourself, even if that means flaunting your bad-ass Yugioh dueling skills. f*** what others think, bro.

Maghion Syaoran Light
. People at my school knew I am a Yugioh-aholic. They knew if they checked my history, they would see YCM card maker, yugico, and yugioh network up there along with facebook. I was never an outcast. My friends and I hosted after school yugioh groups. (Not approved by school ) We werent bothered. Ahh good times, I miss school
Hioco
Not all members on here have High Schools that appreciate the so called "Nerds".. If I was to tell people in my school about this website, I would become a laughing stock. Not because of the people I talk to or the graphics I used to do, but because of the topic of the forum. Yu-Gi-Oh in my school is something we all stopped a while ago, now I mean no offence when I say this, but in my High School if I said anything, i'd get name called and everything. Now this kinda makes me sound like a small little kid compared to them right? Wrong, I can hold my own and am big enough to stand up for myself, but it's a lot better not having to go through with the hassle, you guys know what I mean? I am proud of what I have become on this website, i've been on here for three and a half years! Thing is, if you tell your friends or whatever and they call you and rip you for it, then they aren't your friends. And if you still believe they are, then explain to them how much this site means to you.. After all, Friends mean a lot more than a few name callers! Grunt Issun
Why anyone should be ashamed of using this site, or playing yu-gi-oh? Anyone who does, DESERVES to be an outcast! I openly admit it, and if my friends played it more, I would play it with them at school, but for now, I just stick with my online duels.

On a slightly related note, a while ago, our school put up a volleyball thingy on the wall, to hang up volleyball trophies. Thing is, we only have one. For participation. Master White
Well, only a few friends of mine know, and besides, I'm already an outcast for being a complete and total jerk to my classmates b/c I was young and kind of a shy snobbish person that had no business dealing with anyone and didn't want anyone but video games and myself. That was back then, tell i realized I wanted to see the world and what it had to offer. All I see it offering right now is weather of mass chaos.... Well, even if any of my friends find out, they wouldn't give a care less, I'm sure they do something even more embarrassing anyhow.
Black W Mage
Does anybody know I am a member of YCM? nope. They do know that I play yugioh, and I actually get more respect out of it because I play for profit.

Desu the Blue Nerd
The only person who knows is my best friend and he recently made an account here. We don't even go to the same school though. My parents don't have the memory/attention span to remember I have an account here. I do try and keep it secret and hide the fact from most people. I try my hardest to keep it secret when my brother has friends over. It's a really annoying thing about being at my dad's. Not much privacy. Sunshine Jesse
I have like 1 IRL friend who doesn't care and is just as much of a nerd as me and my e-friends don't give a s***. So it's fine. I don't know many people who are petty enough to care.
