Anyway, Grannel and Wisel have a dominance issue. Wisel is better for control play with its Spell negation, and it has a guaranteed 2500, whereas Grannel relies on how soon it was brought out, and whether the opponent has used a Synchro. Grannel eliminated all humans except Aporia and a couple others, making Aporia go emo. Grannel was the card that Aporia drew when he absolutely was not supposed to draw it in his duel VS Z-One. [/quote] One of the jokes is this: Once upon a time, Grannel got bored. He looked out into the world, and saw a trap that particularly angered him. So, he decided to make the trap miserable, for his enjoyment. He killed the trap's family, lover, and virtually everyone he came into contact with. He even caused the trap to die by drawing him. By making them both "Meklord", they can easily print the distinctions of the support. Machine Imperial Castle only supports Machine Emperors, and most support both, but some support only the Imperial Soldiers. Unlike Japan, who has "Kikou" for both and "Kikoutei" for Machine Emperors, English doesn't have the distinction. I rather support a petition urging them NOT to do that, more than ask WHY. Anyway, what I mean is archetype support, not name length. On all the support, they'd have to say "...'Machine Emperor' or 'Machine Imperial Soldier'..." for the mutual support. "Meklord" is much shorter and doesn't leave much room for confusion as to if the card is part of the archetype or not. It has the side effect of sounding stupid, but some people disagree. [/quote] Then just change the names of the cards they haven't already revealed in the anime, like the soldiers! Call them "Machine Emperor Soldiers" or something. They are contradicting the names they gave in the anime, which to me is a betrayal of the fans. I just feel like they are pissing off the fans of the series just to save a few bucks. Both languages of the anime used Machine Emperor, and suddenly it's been changed to "Meklord". And then theres the "Tech Genus -> T.G." issue. A lot of people seem to feel similar that changing such important cards' names for seemingly no reason leaves a bad taste in the mouth, especially when the new name sounds/looks awkward or stupid. I've accepted that the names changed, but I still use the original names because it's less...weird.
