Blake
Guys, considering 4Kids LOST dubbing rights, they probably WILL be called Meklords when they make the new Dub, if they do. Also, this is not a Meklord thread. It's a Grannel thread.

Toffee.
I'm like the only one who does mind the name-change. Machine Emperor Grannel Infinity and Mechlord(short for 'Mecha-Overlord') Emperor Grannel both sound badass. Sander
Yes, but a company's first priority is their customers, because without their customers, they aren't getting any money, are they? I hate it when people, especially companies and politicians, decide to go for the short-term gain, not caring about the long-term consequences.
Do you think that they care if people do not like the name of the card? They already know people who like the card will get it, even if they hate the name or not. And really, what type of "long-term" consequences can there be from...changing the name of some cards? Blake
.......... For Burnpsy, he means that the dub you are watching has been illegally put online. Nothing goes to Konami for it, and they did not endorse it. For Zandaa, I agree with him. I STILL want Grannel, although I do not like the new name. =/
People won't stop buying YuGiOh cards just because the name was changed. Let me rephrase that, regular people. Only total weeabos wouldn't buy said card if they do not like the name change.
lolweeabos But you gotta' admit, this game might have been a little more epic if they kept all their offensive names/artworks(well, maybe not artworks)/etc .....The problem with that is that over here in the US we have "haters" who BAAAAAAAAAWWWWWW at anything like that. Though I think the main cause of this might be due to the fact Yugioh, of course, had to appear on TV. and as such, got plagued with censorship. If they kept it off the air from the start, it would end up like Magic the Gathering, but wouldn't get as many sales(Assuming its popularity would die to Magic) So pretty much its a bitter sweet scenario either way. Premier Alexander Romanov
@Zandaa: There's this wonderful thing called "sleep". If you partake in this fantastical action, you will feel better once you awaken several hours later. Sure, that means you won't be spending time with us, giving us all of this great advice on life, the universe, and everything, but I assure you you will be dearly missed. As for me, well, it's 5-o'-clock somewhere!

I'm just still rather pissed that Konami would go against the names they stated in their own anime. I really hate it when companies break their own anime's canon and continuity, without the anime doing that itself. Didn't they think people would start wondering why the names were different?
