-Griffin
...What cards are awesome to have on the field, but die a lot? ... evilfusion
One of my friends used this with Bambooshoot. I was not amused. Decent card, gives it pretty much immunity to anything, since most cards that don't "destroy" target, so you need some sort of removal effect that neither targets nor destroys, or find a way to destroy Safety Zone itself. Imperial Custom says hi.

.:pyramid:.
already made a discussion about this. it is in fact one of the most versatile cards to be released in many sets as it can hurt your oppoent in so so many ways; 1 It cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects, it cannot be destroyed by battle. - ok effect makes it abit better than my body as a shield / forbidden lance for the whole effect even though it is slower. stops mind control, chaos sorcerer, ect. 2 cannot attack your opponent directly - stops a direct attack, not amazing but certainly not usless when you consider how you can play this card. 3 When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. - now this is where this card gets fun. mst, scrap dragon, judgment dragon
While Safety Zone can stop Mind Control and Chaos Sorcerer, it cannot be used to counter them. If they activated either of those cards, then they've already targeted your card. Chaining Safety Zone to that effect will not stop their effect from resolving on your targeted monster. You would have to play Safety Zone prior to any effect that would target that monster. evilfusion
True, while it can't counter effects that target, it will still counter destruction effects.

CDDRodrigo
already made a discussion about this. it is in fact one of the most versatile cards to be released in many sets as it can hurt your oppoent in so so many ways; 1 It cannot be targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects, it cannot be destroyed by battle. - now this is where this card gets fun. darkwolf777
Huh?
Since it simply states "Select 1 Attack Position Monster on the Field", so long as the translation is correct, this card can target your opponent's monsters as well as your own. We went through 1 earlier. While it can cause your monsters to be protected from Chaos Sorcerer, it cannot be chained and counter Chaos Sorcerer's effect. To protect from being targeted, Safety Zone must already be active before Chaos Sorcerer activates and targets the monster. Chaining Safety Zone to Chaos Sorcerer's effect will not save the targeted monster. For part 2, this would also not work. Assuming the translation is verbatim, even though the card could be equipped to an opponent's monster, it will not be able to stop your opponent from attacking you directly. The card specifically states currently that the monster "Cannot attack your opponent directly", though this would be directly read from the person who controls "Safety Zone". Your Safety Zone equipped to one of your monsters cannot attack your opponent directly, but Your Safety Zone equipped to one of your opponent's monsters can still attack you directly. For part 3, Assuming we can equip this to an opponent's monster, since the monster would be destroyed if Safety Zone is removed from the field, you can combine Safety Zone with you or your opponent's effects that would remove Safety Zone from the field, thereby destroying the monster Safety Zone was targeting. For example, your opponent uses MST and targets your face-down Safety Zone, and you chain that Safety Zone and select an opponent's monster, Safety Zone would target the opponent's monster, then MST would destroy Safety Zone, thereby destroying the monster that Safety Zone is targeting. Safety Zone successfully targets Judgment Dragon, then Judgment Dragon destroys Safety Zone. Safety Zone then destroys Judgment Dragon =/ Basically, with the wording here, you can target your opponent's face-up Attack Position monsters as well. instead of only using Safety Zone to protect your monsters, you can also use it to destroy your opponent's monsters.
