I haven't seen them make Top 4 for a while and they are becoming a lot more easy to counter. Aren't these the same? Debu-Hime was originally a variant, but is now such a widely used variants that people are making variants of it. That means that [in my opinion] it constitutes a new type of deck. Also, in basically every single YCS some kind of Plant Synchro variant makes top 8 (Chaos Plant Synchro at Anaheim recently is a good example). Sure, it's a great deck and all, it's just that they never really did anything drastic. If I recall correctly I think they won one YCS, but GKs have won more than them.
