If it wasn't meant to be competetive, no tournaments, regionals etc. would exist; have fun on your own time, but when you lose to a good deck whilst using a bad deck, you're not being a good player. BAD PLAYERS USE BAD DECKS, GOOD PLAYERS USE GOOD DECKS. When you act all nice when you lose, well, good for you I guess. That doesn't change the fact that you lost whilst using a bad deck.
