-Lightray Daedalus-
Explain the effect? I play a bit, but don't get the effect XD
Well this card does what it says...counter any kind of card with a converted cost of 1...what makes it so good is the fact that it is SPLASHABLE and FREE...for it Pyrexian Mana cost which let's him be pay either with Blue Mana...(As the one that you produce for example with an Island)...or simply forget to playing mana and play it in ANY DECK at the cost of mere 2 Lifes...but the thing is...are their targets worth losing 2 lifes on this? The answer is YES...XD Example of Targets this card can counter...(The meta worthy ones) And list can keep growing...XD
Dementuo
Holy crap, that's amazing. But wait, when did this set come out?
.Nu-13
Ah, so it means that it counters anything whose mana cost is 1? Awesome
May 13, 2011 But we know all the set already and prereleases are being holded ATM
Ah, so it means that it counters anything whose mana cost is 1? Awesome
Yep but again it laughably cost (1 mana or 2 lifes) and it splashability due to its alternative cost is what breaks it
Toffee.
So if I read this topic right, this card is pretty much Seven Tools. Right?
King of Nothing
Oh so that symbol counts towards a converted mana cost, good to know. I was wondering about that. Isn't Karn the best card of the new set? I haven't really played Magic that much after Alara, I just buy packs to modern my deck (Right now I'm running a red-green kamikaze artifact build). My favorite card of the new set is Spinebiter It can effectively kill the enemy in green. I have no idea why they made it uncommon and not rare/mythic rare. Getting any green monster to ten is REALLY easy EDIT: @Above: It's not even close to seven tools o.o This card has a limit, the card it counters has to cost one mana. Also, this card CAN cost life, but doesn't have too.
.Nu-13
Pretty much, but it also counters creatures
Dementuo
I need to get this card. I'm glad I added some Blue to my Eldrazi build.

(Well unless you Doom Blade it quickly)
I need to get this card. ihop
I play Bottomless. Wait, wrong game.
Mysty
This card counters other Mental Missteps as well as Spell Snare. This will certainly see play in Legacy. Standard... I'm not sure. Its scope feels rather narrow.
Niv-Mizzet
Looks like Wizards is finally trying to rein control in. Anti Mana Leak, anti Duress, anti Gitaxian Probe (another NPH card that people are drooling over), anti Surgical Extraction...

And don't forgot anti Despise and anti Inquisition.
.Nu-13
So it's not that good in Advanced?
King of Nothing
I would say it's not good in advanced until after the rotation, but it can do wonders in classic...I have no idea how it runs in Standard.
Niv-Mizzet
Yeah, I was thinking of Spell Pierce. Oops.
Flame Dragon
Legacy is going to get a major face lift after this hits. It's funny seeing Uncommons selling for as much as some Mythics.
