Well, some people add to their siggies stupid "X% of the world would cry if Justin Bieber..." stuff. Others simply go hate him everywhere in every thread possible. I've heard his songs. IMO they're not really [i]good[/i], and possibly at the level of simply mediocre. Even so I don't find anything really so strange or annoying that can promote any hatred. Let's see, if they're talking about the aspect of being overrated, I personally believe that for instance, Lady Gaga can fit that description better. Why does everyone seem to hate him? Any boy or boy band with fangirls has an equal amount of haters. I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but I personally think that the mindset of someone being a teen star or a boy band automatically tells the listener they will hate their music no matter what. They convince themselves that Justin Bieber or the Jonas Bros will sound horrible because of their fanbase. It's a psychological thing, but that probably doesn't apply to all of his haters, only the younger ones. As for me, I'm not really a fan of his music, but I don't find it absolutely horrible. Nor do I hate him just because he has talent. I don't hate the douchebag guitarist at my school because he plays bad guitar, I hate him because he's a douchebag. Though I recall a similar feeling, he did just kinda appear out of nowhere. I know girls who don't fit that description and like JB, but the "personality" of one's fanbase is also a huge factor in your perspective on someone. While most of us here can agree that fangirls are some of the most agitating beings on this planet, it's important to remember that the one they worship is irrelevant to their behavior. The fact that he is a pop singer and does Michael Jackson's choreography wrong is a bit suspicious. It was literally a few days after Michael's death when he became an active singer. But he's immature and childish and I feel like all this fame could've gone to someone else. Although, he does donate his money here and there for good causes and he's not all a bad person, I just am not a fan. I don't hate him. I mean, what's the use of that? His music is catchy and he can sing, I don't see anything wrong with that. However, his "hardcore fangirls" are just ridiculous. I don't hate Justin Beiber, but I very much dislike his extreme fans.
