A Whole New Generation of Monsters: Trialities! [4/??]

WOW...I'm impressed. And I just had an idea! I'll PM it to your in a little bit.

As for the Cards, the first one is perfect for Fish/Frog Synch decks. Somewhat easy to get out, very easy to use once it's out, and it's ATK/DEF stats are within managable ranges. 9.7/10

Drake is alright for Psychic Monsters, mainly because you can get this guy out pretty quickly and set up for some interesting Power/Synchro Plays, not only that but it makes Summoning some of the Fusion monsters and /Assault Mode Psychic monsters (if they release out other ones) more easy. Very effective card. 9.5/10

shame I have to rate the WHOLE thing, because you'd have gotten 10/10 for the art for Cyber Epsilon Dragon

the only thing I'd change is the last effect, regarding the graveyard

by all means negate its effects, but don't reduce its atk to 0

I'd just halve its atk and be done with it

9.9/10

Thanks, both of you, for your consistent stream of comments :)
@ Rag - Alright, I will edit that when I get back on my computer.

Might not get a chance to finish a whole card tonight, but I'll see what I can do.

EDIT:

@ Cody - it's finished! I had to make some minor edits so it wouldn't be broken as hell (though it still might be...).

Anyways, to everyone else, I present Transparent Knight, Trisha!!!

I'm going to take these on one after the other, so I'm going to probably turn out a small wall of text with spoiler tags dotting the landscape.

Starting off with the Eternal Overmind Drake, I gotta say: I'm surprised at how ridiculously easy it is to summon. No, seriously, you can get two out in one turn if you play it right with the aid of one of the new cards from Extreme Victory -- detailed below in the spoiler tags.
Step 1: Get out Overdrive Teleporter, preferrably by Tribute Summon (Teleport, of all cards, helps in this regard). Use his effect, making sure that one of the monsters you summon by his effect is Hushed Psychic Cleric, and the other a Tuner Monster. Synchro summon whatever you want, be it Hyper Psychic Blaster or the Psychic Nightmare, but either way make sure to use Hushed's effect. In doing so, select whatever monster is in your Graveyard -- if you Tribute Summoned Overdrive, then that one will do. By the end of this, you should have 1 Psychic, and 1 Synchro, so just Set a Spell Card, any Spell Card, and Summon the Drake.

Then depending on which effect you gave him, use him thusly -- keeping in mind that you got back a monster by Hushed's effect if you sent her to the Graveyard (i.e., if you want to do Drake by send-to-deck, then tune Hushed first, but if it's to Graveyard, do whatever): If to Deck: Just Summon a Psychic Synchro monster and set another Spell Card, then bang. Second Drake. If to Graveyard: Copy Overdrive Teleporter and use the effect to summon another pair of monsters, Synchro Summon, set a Spell Card, and now you've got the materials for your second Drake. Also keep in mind that if you work it right, you can repeat these steps with your second Drake and get out THE THIRD OF THEM, if you happen to be interested in doing that.
You can see how very easy it is to bust out now, though that's not the limit of his utility -- he's also an instant Synchro Monster (courtesy that Overdrive Teleporter) to join him, or a means to Synchro Fusion (you get a Psychic back to your hand, and then you have a chance of Special Summoning a Synchro Monster -- Polymerization loves your Drake forever and ever).
Ignoring for the moment how I can't seem to figure out a decent way to Special Summon both a Synchro AND an Exceed in the same turn that doesn't involve some serious contortions on the duelist's part, its effect . . . when summoned, he can pop up to 2 cards, OK. You can add a WATER monster from your Deck to your hand by discarding a card, OK, I can see where you're thinking of Diva (though that first effect of his is screaming "ZEXAL FLYING FISH" at me a la Aflac Duck). And the final effect, saving its life by bouncing a . . . wait a minute. I can see where THIS one will go in a big hurry. Bring Synchro or Exceed back to Extra Deck, bring out that monster, and you're using its effects all over again -- including something nasty like a Stardust or Gurensaurus (yes, I count Gurensaurus as a threat, though I won't explain why here).

WOW. OK, this guy is definitely on the 'broken' list right from the getgo -- thanks to his ability to Special Summon Machine-type monsters by killing monsters in battle. Magnificent way to bust a move with ANY of the Machine archetypes out there, from Genex Ally and Machinas to his intended Cyber family -- even Gradius Decks get a boost from this guy. Then the effect you gave him for sending his materials to the Deck is an easy way to get rid of threats -- by tapping something like a Stardust, and making it a Machine . . . then promptly making a Chimeratech Fortress Dragon with the offending monster as a material. His to-Graveyard effect, however, I don't quite get -- it makes no sense unless you meant for it to A. summon a monster other than itself, or B. it retains its given effect while in the Graveyard (or otherwise removed from the field), which would allow it to be Special Summoned -- because you've no need to Special Summon it while it's already out unless you're feeling goofy and have a Cyber Summon Blaster out.

. . . who reminds me very much of the Liquid People of Duel Masters. And dear everything I'm getting a kick out of its effects. The 'more than level 12' is giving me bad vibes, though that's a minorly moot point considering we actually DO have a canon card that jumps past Level 12 on its own (Greed Quasar, if I remember right). Its cost is fairly steep, but for a monster that adds another draw to your Draw Phase (further reminding me of Liquid People, with the Water cards in Duel Masters helping you draw cards) AND can remove a card from the field each turn (either by bouncing it or send-to-Graveyard) it may very well be worth it, especially if you use a Spell Card as its materials -- Spell/Traps would be easy enough to save it from, just make it impervious to battle and let me not take damage from it getting hit!
All in all . . . they're an interesting idea, but it looks like you still may have to iron things out to keep them from keeling over into the broken-zone as happened with Eternal Overmind Drake (yes, he is a touch broken thanks to the combos that can be EASILY pulled off with getting him, most notably getting more of him -- note that you needed only ONE particular monster in-hand and at least 2000 LP to spare to start the scenario).

Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more of these guys in the future -- they've certainly got promise.

Thanks for your suggestions and support! :D

Now, just my thoughts on your main points ^^
• The entire point of Epsilon Dragon was Generic Machine support; it allows you to SS Machines, and its Deck effect is SOLELY based on Chimeratech Fortress Dragon.
• For Tidal Berserker - I made its last effect to make it harder to SS. I mean, what's easier? Re-Synchroing/Exceeding, or Monster Reborn?

With the right setup, Re-Synchroing/Exceeding -- especially when it allows you to re-use an effect (e.g., you save Tidal Berserker by returning a Black Rose Dragon; synch the Black Rose Dragon, and you get to blow up everything . . . except the Berserker, which you promptly save again by returning another monster).

EDIT: Something I just noticed. I know it's your first one, but the Tidal Berserker doesn't seem to have the whole to-Deck-or-to-Graveyard Effects gimmick . . .

True, Black Rose is an exception. But it can't be protected from battle. Either way, Scrap Dragon could be a nice counter, since not only is it a wall that Berserker can't get through, but you can get rid of cards until your opponent runs out of Exceeds/Synchros.

And yes, Berserker was a "prototype" for the set, so it did not have 2 effects.

Hate to burst your bubble, but protecting a 2500 ATK monster from battle is a lot easier than one might think -- just pump its ATK up or use Spell/Trap support to prevent it from getting attacked. (Or, at the most extreme, equip Mist Body.) Not that it's even going to matter with him at 2500 ATK to begin with and sporting such an exploitable effect that you could pound anything stronger than it out of existence -- be it by a recursion of Black Rose Dragon, Mist Wurm, or even Trishula itself; the long and the short of it is, if that card were played competitively, you could stake your life on at least one person using cards to attempt to destroy it so they could kick off its own effect.
Player Triality Summons his Tidal Berserker in face-up Attack Position while his opponent has a good field set up, but nothing ready to kill it JUST yet. He uses Hammer Shot, which would pop the Berserker . . . except Berserker then returns Black Rose Dragon to the Extra Deck instead. Cue person using a Lonefire to get a Gigaplant and Glow-Up Bulb together to tune Black Rose, pop everything . . . except the player returns an Exceed in their Graveyard, say maybe the upcoming No.83 Galaxy Queen, to the Extra Deck instead. Or a Trishula, if it'd already seen play and gone. Or a second Black Rose Dragon.
Note: It's actually feasible to run that Tidal Berserker in a plant deck -- you used Attribute rather than Type, so it's pretty open-ended.

But ironically, the cards you gave as examples - Mist Wurm and Trishula, would both send Tidal Berserker out of play, whether it be by bounce or removal. Well, personally, I find it better than if I would have put "This card cannot be destroyed by card effects". If you like that better, I'd be fine with changing it. I just found it nice that you could recycle some "useful components"...

If used against him. I was citing how the person playing Tidal would be able to re-use these on their opponent -- where the fact that they send things out of play in such unorthodox styles makes them a threat to almost anything (e.g., Red Nova Dragon, Stardust Dragon).

Well, I'm not saying that there shouldn't be a cost to protecting him -- it's just that the cost you've got is more of a benefit than a hindrance. An effect's cost is typically something that would cause a potential issue later on -- for example, our old friend Black Rose Dragon's secondary effect: She can effectively drop a monster's trousers and use him for fertilizer at any given point in the duel, but you have to remove a Plant-type monster from your Graveyard to do it; you subsequently actually have to work some funny magic to be able to use them, and by extension the effect, over again (it's not impossible, but you still have hoops to jump through).

By comparison, your Tidal Berserker has an effect that protects it from one death-by-card-effect by returning a monster from your Graveyard to where it can be used again through normal means -- so you're pretty much getting TWO good things instead of one, and once the re-used monster is pasted or wasted, Tidal can just send it back again to repeat the process. If you change the cost so that it actually hinders to a small degree, then I'd have no complaint with the effect, as it's this 'too much of a good thing' that gets me.

Maybe a removal effect would work. Kind of like Black Rose has to remove a plant for it's second effect, why not make Tidal Berserker's protection effect remove 1 card from your Graveyard?
I wanted to avoid that since it's far too common, but it seems like that's the only option i have -_-

Well...you could also do a search discard effect...I think. Like maybe make it's effect only once and you have to send a Synchro/Fusion/Certain monster from your Deck/Extra Deck to the Graveyard to negate Tidal Berserker's destruction. IDK, that might work also.

True, but nobody would be willing to do that - the Extra Deck's too precious. I think I'll just stick with the removal. Thanks, though.

Make a guy with all three of Levels, Negative Levels, and Ranks. And make it Chaos. Please.

This idea called my attention a couple of times, but I was lazy to comment about it. And still am.

So I'll say it short: It's a pseudo-playable concept. Fancy, yes, but not really runnable. Still, don't let it stop you. Fancy is enough for me to like them. =D

for Trisha, you might want to say you can't activate ALL of the effects in the same turn

that could get broken at times
Well it is hard to summon. You're pretty much limited to normal monster (which I know can include geminis) AND normal Fusions/Synchros. It can be pretty hard to get him out...and the only way I see him getting out in 1 turn is using "Ancient Rules" + "Instant Fusion" + 1 Spell/Trap and then summoning the card.

Actually, I made it specifically to DIS-allow Instant Fusion - notice that I made it Level 6 or higher? :)

Yeah, the problem with only letting it activate one effect a turn is that then, you would be able to either destroy/bounce a card or protect itself, but not both, and it would make it utterly useless, seeing as how it would never survive more than a turn after using its effect once.
