I'm pretty sure that if condoms can be given to Kindergarten students, that I can make a non-obscene/explicit metaphor for sex. Honestly, I used no foul language, and kids usually learn scientific terms for this stuff by the 4th grade. I'm also pretty sure that most people using the forum are above the usual 5th grade age.

I understand your point, and it's perfectly fine. I honestly saw nothing wrong with your post (I actually laughed for quite some time). But at the same time, I would not want my little sister, who is starting High School this fall, to read something like that. Then again, I am an overprotective brother who already decided to hunt down any guy who does anything more than hold her hand. <_<

Anyway, I'm just trying to stop this pointless argument (and stop any others from starting in the future) by pleasing both sides of the fences. All I ask is that everybody works with me instead of making me fight against the tide. -_-

It's not always upheld. It all depends on how the moderator in the section perceives said content. That is why it's up to the posters to show a level of responsibility and keep things civil.

Dwarven, this little petty argument shouldn't even had begun in the first place, so please do not even bother to make it stop. I am with Showcase on it, NightWalker's work is pretty much the beauty and feeling of what sex is. We all love his work that he has done, raiN' has a different way of expressing it though. If someone created an entire thread to mock the Forum that is was posted in. Do not even bother with it, because if you do...you are mocking the members of that forum and basically the moderators who run it. You are simply showing that Mods are doing nothing, "So let's make a thread to grab their attention and they might do something afterwards if they read it." and it is making them look like idiots, if you want to discuss it. Discuss it with people who do not have the same views as you and are your friends.

YCM isn't Massachusetts. YCM isn't their school system, and what they did is and was so stupid the people involved should have gotten a lobotomy. Also, that does not escape the fact that it is not appropriate. Let them discover porn, let them get curious, but do not expose them to it and steer them away as long as you can.

Says the one with the picture of another more explicit, and religious, sexual metaphor in his signature.

I'm not saying anybody is at fault here. Just trying to make it where threads like this one WON'T be created again. Or at least decrease the chances of any being created. I'd settled for the latter at the time being.

Creating threads like this one should be last resort. And by last resort, I mean none of the mods are doing a thing, you aren't getting any replies to your messages, and the forum has turned into complete anarchy. As we can all see, that has not happened. So this thread is pointless. But at the same time, steps need to be taken to make sure a thread like this does that happen again unless afore mentioned requirements are in place. That does not mean arguing, laughing at whoever is complaining, insulting...or any of the other stuff that usually happens in a thread like this.

Basically, everyone needs to swallow their damn pride and compromise here. It's not as hard as you think. <_<

YCM isn't Massachusetts, you're right, but it doesn't change the fact that children younger than the age of a regular YCM member knows this stuff already. Just because I reference to sex doesn't mean I'm exposing them to porn, nor am I exposing them to something new. If you're in the 4th or 5th grade, you most likely have already learned about sex. I never said the words "f***", "cock", "pussy", etc. in a sexual manner, I used actual scientific terms. It was humorous, not obscene. Why would you steer them away from it? Steering them away just makes them more curious, does it not? I'm not saying encourage them, I'm saying educate them. Tell them the consequences of young sex, but also tell them it's perfectly natural for older, more developed people.

Feel free to laugh at this, but I didn't learn the full gist of sex until 9th grade. I did learn a few trivial stuff around 7th and 8th grade, but eh. At the same, I just graduated from High School Friday and I still haven't had sex. Hell, my first kill was the summer between 9th and 10th grade. And there are LOTS of people like myself. So saying most might be kinda pushing it. Just saying.

And YCM is not the website for that. Take it elsewhere or leave.
Oh and yes, steering them away makes them more curious. But curious in their own privacy and ways. Not one exposed to the populace.

I'm not talking about doing it or learning street terms about it so much as learning the scientific method. The process. I meant educationally, really. I think, if I remember correctly, that most science text books for 4th grade and up have included sex as a subject. I could be incorrect, but I looked it up and from what I read I was correct. Also, nothing wrong with not having had sex yet. No shame in it at all. Better to wait and be with someone special than to lose it to someone you won't be with in the long run.

@Josh - Generally speaking, the entire website is supposed to be for Yugioh and the Card Maker, but it has other topics to be discussed. It was humorous, a show of appreciation, and it wasn't obscene. I know what YCM is and isn't for. YCM isn't devoted to religion but that doesn't mean it refrains from topic discussions, jokes, or the general reference to religion itself. No one b****es about that much, unless it's blown up to the point that people like Dark tend to do.

The only textbook I have seen with sex in it was my Anatomy book from last year. And we didn't even get to that chapter. <_<

Really? Varies from state to state I guess. I learned about it in 6th grade, earliest of my memory.

Hate to butt in here but the odd Naughty refernce is okay in my opinion. If I posted a Image of Naked Women or something that was really nasty then fair enough but mention say the word "Penis" if used in a non sexual term is okay if used once in a while. No-one is perfect.

I think there may have been a chapter in my 8th grade biology book as well. But again, we didn't go over it. It was left for us to read it on our own time...which I did not do. :<

You kinda disprove yourself with the choice of words you chose to use. Had it been humorous you would have said, "If I could I would make love to this piece of work as if it were a fine woman". Or something along those lines. However, your word choice was not as such.

Hate to break it to you Icy, but humor is relative to the person. Humorous to I, and a few others I guess. I personally don't think what you said was that funny at all. It was refined, it was appreciative, but imo, hardly humorous.

I said nothing that wouldn't be said in a PG-13 movie. Nor, for that matter, anything that would be physically depicted, at least motion-wise.

@Daemon: I possibly said read the rules once. After that, I never said it again, because of the fact I don't follow them exactly. I may not be a role model, but I'm not a hypocrite.

And YCM is PG-7, with extremely minor and select exceptions. This is not one of them.

Typo, if not you misunderstood the context (which wouldnt have been known as it was only brought up during our IM conversations when it was written).
