When this card is Normal Summoned, you can select 1 Set Card your opponent controls and look at it. Your opponent cannot activate Spell/Trap Cards in response to this effect's activation.

lol Lyna. disc.

It avoids Bottomless and Torrential. And it's a [s]Female[/s] LIGHT Spellcaster, so Chaos Village that someone keeps bringing up whenever a DARK or LIGHT Spellcasting person pops up.

But priority will cease to exist.

What does priority have to do with this card though? It triggers upon Normal Summon. The new priority will only apply to monster with ignition effects that are Spell Speed 1, so cards like this is still fine.

I'm going to assume there's something about this post I'm misinterpreting rather than that you don't know what priority is.
EDIT: Ninja'd.

It's decent [s]and cute[/s], but I don't see much advantage to it over Breaker.

Yeah, I still don't quite get which effects will be hit by priority.

I'm terrible with rulings -.-

Let's see if I can explain...with pictures!

Figure 1: Black Rose Dragon

First, let's go over what priority does/did. It stated that when the turn player successfully summoned a monster, they had the right to activate Ignition Effects before their opponent could respond.

Black Rose Dragon here has one Trigger Effect (like Mira) and one Ignition Effect. A trigger effect is a response to certain conditions. Black Rose Dragon can respond to its own Synchro Summon by going BLACK ROSE GALE!!! An ignition effect is what we would think of as the standard kind of effect - Spell Speed 1 unless otherwise stated. If for some reason you're an idiot and didn't summon Black Rose Dragon to nuke the field, you can use its once per turn ignition effect and be all ROSE RESTRAINT!!! on your opponent. This is what's affected by the loss of priority. Example time!

Table 1: Black Rose Gale with Prio
Step 1: Synchro Summon BRD
Step 2: Nuke
Step 3: Opponent chains Bottomless Trap Hole liek a baws

Table 2: Black Rose Gale without Prio
Step 1: Synchro Summon BRD
Step 2: Nuke
Step 3: Opponent chains Bottomless Trap Hole liek a baws

Table 3: Rose Restraint with Prio
Step 1: Synchro Summon BRD
Step 2: Activate effect
Step 3: Bottomless Trap Hole
Step 4: Banish BRD
Step 5: Tentacle rape a monster

Table 3: Rose Restraint without Prio
Step 1: Synchro Summon BRD
Step 2: Bottomless Trap Hole
Step 3: Why didn't you nuke?

I'm not sure about what your questions are saying. I meant as in calling priority on effects.
What I meant, was, what will removing priority do? Will it affect much? :/
-Six Samurai
Samurai's boast a ton of different effects and naturally they have several playable IE monsters. The big monsters on the list are Hand of the Six Samurai and Legendary Six Samurai Mizuho, but other notables include Six Samurai Yachi, Enishi, Shien's Chancellor, and Spirit of the Six Samurai. Mizuho and Hand of the Six Samurai are the most used IE Monsters in the deck, and their 1600 attack means that Bottomless Trap Hole is now something to fear. With priority, Spirit enjoyed near invincibility en route to becoming a union monster. Of course, if spirit is going to union with Legendary Six Samurai Shi En, then he'll probably get there unharmed, but in other cases spirit may find its new vulnerability pretty important. Priority also gives a particularly interesting twist on the Enishi debate among Six Samurai players. Enishi, Shien's Chancellor is weaker without priority to use its effect, but legendary six samurai Enishi has to opposite function of being able to disrupt those ignition effects while also being able to use its effect upon its summon unlike IE monsters.
lol

-Hand is good
-Mizuho sucks
-Yachi sucks
-Enihi sucks
-Spirit of Six Samurai sucks

LSS Enishi got better. I guess. Not looking forward to this ruling, to be honest. Atleast Shi en is a Quick/Continuous effect... Phew.

so basically with BRD its a matter of whether it goes to grave or banished after nuke when bottomlessed?
No, the loss of priority changes nothing with BRD's Trigger Effect. A good example of a monster affected by the loss of priority is...

Figure 1: Brionac, not!Dragon of the Ice Barrier

Table 1: Brionac hits the field, its controller chooses to utilize priority powah
Step 1: Brionac appears out of those green Synchro rings or whatever they are
Step 2: PRIO GOGOGO Discard, say, 2 cards to choose 2 targets.
Step 3: Opponent panics, activates Bottomless Trap Hole
Step 4: Brionac is banished
Step 5: Targeted cards get bounced

Table 2: Brionac hits the field, priority rule no longer in effect
Step 1: Brionac appears with that cool electric guitar theme they use in the dub
Step _: No priority, so you can't use Brio's effect yet
Step 2: Opponent panics, activates Bottomless Trap Hole
Step 3: Brionac is banished
Step 4: umad bro?
No matter how many times it's said, people still don't realize that no one knows when this will happen, or even IF it ever happens to the TCG.
OT: So, is this supposed to be something like Familiar Possessed Lyna or something? Either way, she's ok.
