So, there was this guy who used Common Charity and drew 2 cards, then RFP'd Clayman from his Graveyard. I had to explain to him several times about how that doesn't work, and even then he tried to set/activate stuff before discarding.

 

Luckily, he merely quit after all of that.

 

He even tried to remove Granmarg from his hand, too.

I had some idiot say that I couldn't chain trap stun to normal traps. We argued for a few minutes, then he said "Fine, but I get to re-Set it"('It' was BTH he was using on my Gearframe) And I took the trap stun out of grave and re set it. he said I couldn't do that, and I said he couldn't re-set it unless he wanted to not use it. He finally shut up and let my gearframe through, allowing me to search force. I discard it for my fortress In grave. he BTH, I stun, He quits.

Another thrilling duel with someone who doesn't understand their cards.

 

I have Jain, he has Doomcaliber Knight and Skill Drain.

 

I go to the End Phase and announce that Jain's mill effect activates. He says "no".

 

Me: I know I don't actually mill (due to Drain). But the effect still activates. Which Triggers Doomcaliber Knight.

Him: You can't activate effect.

Me: Skill Drain doesn't prevent activations, it just negates the effects.

Him: Fine, mill.

Me: Doomcaliber automatically responds.

Him: No. I decide.

Me: Read the card. It says you must activate it.

Him: When not having effect. Check it. I have choice.

 

*I look it up*

 

Results: If "Doomcaliber Knight's" effect activates while "Skill Drain" is face-up on the field, its effect is not negated because it is not on the field when its effect resolves.

Results2: Tributing "Doomcaliber Knight" is a cost.

 

Me: And the card says you have to do it. It doesn't say "you can Tribute" it says "You must Tribute".

Him: But no have effect. Skill Drain is activate, i choice

Me: Skill Drain doesn't say "Effect Monsters no longer have effects"

Him: *ASSes and leaves*

I can't play Vylon's on there....10 out of 10 people quit after going for the OTK. =/

Realy? it happens to me too that they quit but its usually when its obvious they have nothing to do and I thought that its because they are lazy to admit defeat (not that it realy matters in unrated, but some of them atleast say "gg" and quit fast)

Guys, tell me 1 thing. Why you're all ":/" or ":(" when people leave? It's only good for you :/

I like to have fun. I play unrated and actually talk/joke around with my opponents. Quitting because things don't look good, or because you have no chance of winning is bad sportsmanship and extremely lame. Taking the extra 2 minutes to finish the duel and say gg isn't going to take any time away from you becoming the next King of Games.
