YCS, which is short for Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series, is basically a big Yu-Gi-Oh tournament, consisting of 2 days. First day is a Swiss round, which purpose is to determine the 64 best players from among the rest. The 2nd day, a knock-off tournament is hold. Each round, the number of players is halved, until the final round where there are only 2 people remaining. YCS tournaments are hold few times in a year, but some of us don't play IRL, or can't afford the travel. For people like them, we decided to make an YCM version of YCS. Here you can test your skills against the best players from our forum, and who knows, maybe actually win the whole event. [size=4][b][u]Rules:[/u][/b][/size] 1. You can use any card available in Dueling Network cardpool. 2. You must follow the current Banlist, found here 3. You must send your decklist to me for verification. Also, the most innovative and original decks will be rewarded a Deck Profile. 4. All duels will be held in Match format, AKA you must win 2 duels out of the 3. Side decking between matches is allowed, but you must follow the side decking rules, found lower. [size=4][u][b]"Day" 1 - Swiss tournament[/b][/u][/size] 1. There will be 6-10 rounds, depending on the number of people who entered 2. If you win a match, you get 3 points, if you lose, you get none. In case of draw, both players get 1 point. 3. After all rounds were played, 64 people with the highest score advance to Day 2. [size=4][b][u]"Day" 2 - Knock-Off tournament[/u][/b][/size] 1. This round will be held in tournament tree style 2. If you lose your match, you're out 3. Match for 3rd place will be held. 4. Decks of Top 16 playes will be featured and listed. [size=4][u][b]Coverages and Deck Profiles:[/b][/u][/size] Most interesting Duels and Decks will be featured by getting a coverage or a Deck Profile. If you want to apply for a redactor to write coverages and profiles, drop me a PM with. [size=4][u][b]Side Decking:[/b][/u][/size] Seeing as Dueling Network doesn't have a side decking option yet, we'll do it the other way. First, put your Side Deck together with your Main Deck. At the start of the duel, remove from play 15 cards face-down. Those cards are your Side Deck. After the first duel is finished, DO NOT QUIT. Instead, reshuffle all cards from your field, hand and Graveyard back to your Deck and reset Life Points. Then, you can side in/out by returning cards from your Side Deck (face-down cards removed from play) to your Deck and vice-versa.
