Tiger King Wanghu = OP

Recommended Posts

If I understand the card correctly, it is a Trigger Effect and thus Spell Speed 2. This overrides a TCG Player's ability to use priority to activate Ignition Effects (Spell Speed 1) of their Summoned monsters. Also, since it affects Normal and Special Summons, it severely hurts decks that rely on spamming low ATK monsters for Synchro Summons (Plants).

Since it does not negate the Summon, Trigger Effects (Blackwing - Blizzard, Junk Synchron, etc) will still activate and form a chain.

Trigger Effects are always Spell Speed 1. Though, Spell Speed 1 cards cannot be activated to other Spell Speed 1 cards so still Ignition Effects cannot be activated when Wanghu is Triggered.

It might take a while for you to realize that anti-meta is op. Then the next match I side into Skill Drain then he uses Royal Decree that's just insane how op it is.

Is it time?

Yes, I think it's time.

Anti-meta exists as a counter to the meta (obviously). Most of the cards can be seen as OPed purely because the meta revolves around that strategy, and most decks cannot function well without it, because they're built to capitalize on that strategy.

Anti-meta is considered relatively nonthreatening to non-meta decks, which is partially why anti-meta doesn't win tournaments. The non-meta decks kill them, and then the meta decks kill the non-meta, before facing other meta decks for the win.

Wanghu is decent at what it does, but it's not a game-ender on its own.

You probably think Judgment Dragon is op when in reality it's up

JD is OPed. Lightsworn just isn't as strong as it used to be anymore, so it doesn't need further restriction. The CARD is OPed, the deck has lost power, and the card needs the deck to work.

Thank you evilfusion. Now I know not to run Lev 1 norms. I also now after 4000 posts know that meta is op

Your sarcasm makes me wonder...why on earth do you claim this card is OPed if it creamed you when you were running a crappy deck?

And yeah, the meta being messed up is hardly news. I merely wanted to point out that this card is almost purely anti-meta, and anti-meta isn't strong enough.

Although it's been seeing a lot more play after Nats...
