Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
This club is to signify an elite nature. One who can have a purpose and unite with others to achieve it, one who is honorable, neutral, cunning, intelligent, wise, and kind, can be signified as a Soldier. Becoming one of the mighty Dread Knights isn't as easy as typing a few words and clicking a button. Your whole personal history will be probed for transgressions on our Code of Conduct. But joining offers incredible rewards. My hope is that the Dread Army will be able to signify conduct. They will be able to exemplify and uphold the just and wise rules of the forum, and will be as much a symbol of honor, dignity, and chivalry as the knights of old. We will be able to band together and turn n00bs into actual members before they are banned, and get un-redeemable n00bs out of our kingdom — er, forum. So now, our CODES OF CONDUCT! For normal members:I am not and never will be a n00b, though I may have been one in the past.I have and support good grammar.I endorse and/or have participated in intellectual, calm, thought-provoking, kind, well-thought-out discussions.I never will take a side in a useless argument.I have and/or will take the side of intellectual, gramatically correct, honorable members in any arguments that I feel are important.I have not and never will flame a non-n00b.I have not and never will cheat anyone out of anything they deserve intentionally. If I accidentally wrong someone, I will make amends swiftly.I have not and never will accept bribes. If I ever encounter a n00b, I will attempt to take action to educate and nurture said n00b to become a good member. For mods:I have not and never will abuse my powers and not undone the abuse.I will not hesitate to punish those who deserve punishment, except in cases where it would cause mass controversy or cause more n00bs to sign up.Plus all the stuff on the other list (although, since most of our mods are exemplary Dread Soldiers already, it shouldn't really matter anyway). And now, the nitpicky details. These are the ranks of the Dread Army: Dread Master: The Dread Masters are the generals of the Dread Army. This rank can only be attained by myself or any moderators who become Dread Soldiers. If you are a Dread Master, you will become one as soon as you sign up. The Dread Masters can administer Dread Knight-only contests, and are also directly responsible for the publicity of the Dread Inquisition, a Dread Army newsletter. There are no image requirements for the Dread Masters, but my avatar is the official symbol of the Dread Masters. Dread Masters:I: Supreme Gamesmaster Yddisac Dread Knight: The Dread Knights are elites — the brigadiers of the Dread Army. This is the top rank that can be attained by a normal Dread Army members, and signifies expert upholding of the Code. There are several categories of Dread Knight, one for each section.Dread Knights must put the following image in their sig: Card-Making Dread Knights: Graphical Specialty Dread Knights: Dread Inquisition Editors: Dread Inquisition Reporters: n00b Watch Dread Knights: n00b Conversion Dread Knights:Promoted (from Dread Lord) by: This is a toughie. You need a recommendation from the Secretary of Advertisement AND a recommendation from a junior Dread Soldier. And even then I can kick you out. That's mostly because this is the highest level of Dread Soldier, and you get the password to edit the Inquisition site. Dread Lord: The Dread Lords are the colonels of the Dread Army. They're honest, reliable, thoughtful, and kind, and have proved this on many an occasion. Only Dread Knights can be editors of the Dread Inquisition, but Dread Lords can still report. Other than that, the Dread Lords can go free — within the Code, of course.Dread Lords must put the following image in their sig: Card-Making Dread Lords: Graphical Specialty Dread Lords: Dread Inquisition Reporters: n00b Watch Dread Lords: n00b Conversion Dread Lords:Promoted (from Dread Captain) by: Being an exceptional member. Dread Captain: The Dread Captains are the second lowest rank in the Dread Army, above Dread Sergeants. It is also at this stage that a Dread Soldier gains the responsibility of official n00b conversion. Dread Captains are also responsible for inducting new Dread Sergeants into the Dread Army.Dread Captains must put the following image in their sig: n00b Watch Dread Captains: ruby_carbuncle002; BurmysRUs n00b Conversion Dread Captains: BurmysRUs Publicity Direction Dread Captains: ruby_carbuncle002Promoted (from Dread Sergeant) by: Contributing to the Dread Inquisition. Dread Sergeants: The lowest and default rank in the Dread Army, the Dread Sergeants are mainly responsible for the n00b Watch. There are no divisions of Dread Sergeants; divisions of Dread Captains are assigned by Dread Masters upon promotion.Dread Sergeants must put the following image in his/her sig: Dread Sergeants: BlueKyubbi; Cael; MasterSepman; Megayanma; King of Games; Da Pokémon Lord; Darkhound; ShadowRoxas; Aximil; Torchlord; Bloodrun; GyrusPromoted (From Non-Dread Soldier) by: Being accepted into the Dread Army. The Dread Senate: The Dread Senate is the ruling body of the Dread Army. Dread Senators have power over all others of their rank and below, and are called upon to make important decisions and govern the Dread Army. There is no logo for a Dread Senator. Note that Dread Senators can be removed and replaced with the popular vote of all other Dread Senators. THE DREAD SENATECommander-in-Chief: Supreme Gamesmaster YddisacThe Commander-in-Chief is the absolute master of the Dread Army, as the name suggests. The Commander is responsible for publishing the Dread Inquisition, and is the only one with the power to determine production dates. The Commander also is the only one who can suggest a replacement in the Dread Senate, and is also wholly responsible for determining when and how a Dread Soldier promotes (though the former may be influenced by the Secretary of Privileges). Oh, and the Commander is also recognized as the leader of the Dread Army.Secretary of Advertisement: King of GamesThe Secretary of Advertisement is responsible for publicity. The main power of the Secretary of Advertisement is that they and they alone are responsible for carrying out targeted recruitment (recruitment of members targeted in the Recruiting Board). The Secretary of Advertisement is also the leader of the Dread Captains, and is generally responsible for educating new recruits. Secretary of Graphics: ruby_carbuncle002The Secretary of Graphics is given full charge over all graphics in the Dread Inquisition, and the organization of the Advertisement page is wholly up to them and me. The Secretary of Graphics also screens the advertisement suggestions and PMs the screened list to me. This position is the only one that can create a graphics making contest, alongside the Secretary of Privileges.Secretary of Cards: Bloodrun (Contest powers also given to Da Pokemon Lord; votes not)The Secretary of Cards writes both card reviews in the Dread Senate, and has the sole power to pass on suggestions regarding cards. They also have two votes in all matters regarding cards in the Dread Army. The Secretary of Cards is the only one who can create fake card making competitions exclusive to the Dread Army, alongside the Secretary of Publicity. It might not seem like many powers, but the Secretary of Cards is actually as powerful as any other Dread Senator.Secretary of Conversion: MegayanmaThe Secretary of Conversion is given almost free reign over the n00b conversion, and is most independent of all Secretaries due to limited powers. The Secretary of Conversion's only two powers are to organize the n00b hunt and to appoint n00b converters, but those two powers alone make the position as powerful as any other. To appoint a n00b organizer, a third power, one must take the issue to the Dread Senate, but the Secretary of Conversion gets two votes, along with getting two votes in all issues concerning the n00b conversion.Secretary of Privileges: BlueKyubbiThe Secretary of Privileges can PM me people they think ought to be promoted, and are also partially in charge of any and all Dread Army-exclusive things, such as various contests. The Secretary of Privileges is also in charge of deciding which suggestions are voted on by the Dread Senate. ~~~•••DREAD ARMY ONLY PRIVILEGES•••~~~ The main advantage of joining the Dread Army is being part of the Dread Inquisition. It's essentially a newsletter responsible for:Educating n00bs to become proper membersHelping the rest of the forum deal with irreparable n00bsGetting recommendations for future n00b watchesMore details for members. The next issue of the Dread Inquisition is in production! The release is on April 20, so we need articles. I have the headline and conversion article, so all we need are the following pieces of information:n00bish Card of the Month (Worst card you can find; all members will vote) Found!Member's Card of the Month (Best card you can find; Dread Senate will vote)Club or Organization of the Month (Self-explanatory; Dread Senate will vote)RP of the Month (Self-explanatory; I will nominate)Recruiting Board (nominate any number of people you think would make good Dread Soldiers; all will be posted)Advertisements (anything you think deserves a mention but doesn't fit into one of the above categories will come in this section and be advertised on a special page)Lessons (One lesson correcting common card-making mistakes)Most Overused Picture (Overused picture and at least 5 cards that used it)Puzzles (Various puzzles related to random things)Dread Maze of the MonthYCM CrosswordIntellect Challenger: SudokuAny ideas for other articles are welcome; just post here with your suggestion! Archives:Issue 1: March 10, 2008 Other privileges are honor and the ability to turn n00bs into helpful members, good card makers, and strategic TCG players. Getting rid of n00bs should be enough incentive, eh? Once again, the Dread Army wishes to eliminate n00bs from the forum in a less forceful way than banning. We wish to aid the forum as a whole, and do not endorse flaming in any way, shape, or form. But obviously, its fate is in the mods' hands, and if a mod objects to the Dread Army, I tell them, just say the word, and it's gone. This is only my attempt to help the forum become a better place for people to enjoy.

Guest Supreme Gamesmaster
Cybernetic: I *think* that checks out... note that you could be removed without notice at any time. Copy/paste the Dread Sergeant logo into your sig, and I'll add you. Be wary... Blue: You're in. Don't think I didn't notice Frunxmomma's negrep, though; I know he's paranoid about rep scamming. Add the Dread Sergeant logo to the sig, and I'll add you. Again, you could be removed without notice at any time. Be wary...
