I'm hearing that Sangan won't get his effect if detached at worlds. I fail to see the point in ANY U.S. participation in that event any longer. Our game is different - our card pool is different - and our rulings are different.

I'm wondering if all this is a deliberate attempt by Tewart's puppet masters to put the U.S. at such an obvious disadvantage that we have no hope of ever winning that event.

Am I the only person who realizes that the U.S. makes up most of konami's trading card game profit? We pay them more than any other country for their stupid game and get treated like crap for it.

I want a divorce konami.

1. They probably get more profits from Japan.
2. Was it just established that Tewart was wrong?

That's half the point, Haou.

The point is that the TCG Judge, or whatever the hell he is, has NO CLUE how Xyz mechanic works and therefore is making crap up. The first act of moronity was saying Tengu gets its effect when attached, then retconning it to when it's DE-tached, which still contradicts the OCG mechanic, even acknowledging that this is ignoring the rules set down by the OCG. With the statement "Xyz Materials are on the field", now the entire mechanic is confusing as hell, because the OCG rules are in my head, yet the TCG "rules" (I still haven't seen a rulebook detailing the Xyz mechanic) blatantly contradicts them, leaving me with numerous questions about how it's "supposed" to work.

Most blatantly: Are Materials counted as monsters? Do they increase the card count of the field? Does it reset method of Summoning like Book of Moon does?

OCG says: No, no, "they're not monsters anymore".
TCG has no answers yet.

WC uses OCG, TCG is what's f***ed up. Playing the WC games won't help you.

Yes, but the TCG rulings seem to be based off ignorance. I think the first Tengu "ruling" admitted that the TCG didn't KNOW the Xyz rulings, and needed confirmation, and until then, that was the ruling they were going with. The WC games are really useful for testing rulings, and the WC games would probably help settle some dispute about how the Xyz mechanic works.

Of course, by the time the WC game comes out, the TCG will probably have had crap explained to them. Right now, the only Xyz stuff they have is from the Starter Deck. GENF will require some more info, because then the cards will be more widespread.

I agree there is covering up for some moron who ruled incorrectly. It seems that they just don't know. This new mechanic is being rushed to market when it obviously has not even been completely fleshed out by R&D.

It's just chaos right now and everytime Kevin opens his mouth he makes things worse. Konami needs to pull they head out they ass and put this in black and white.

and not just for Worlds - for all of yugioh - Jesus H. Christ Konami - don't you PAY people to know this crap?

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish Nintendo ran Yugioh. Yugioh is like the guy in the cage around lava golem's neck and Konami is lava golem. Our game is trapped.
