Phantom Roxas
I have several fanfic projects in the works, but I feel that out of all of them, this will be my most ambitious. I believe that my most famous work on this site is the Grand Tournament, but I feel that most people don't bother to read the stories. The idea behind "Limits of Reality" is to take the story of the YGT and improve the narrative structure of it. Of course, before that, I want to compile the scenarios from every match in the YGT here, so you can enjoy the story in its original, incomplete, nonsensical form. I will be adding more matches from the tournament over time, so don't be alarmed if a certain match has yet to be posted here. [spoiler=YGT Scenarios][spoiler=Match 1-1: Crow Hogan vs. Sosuke Aizen]His battle with the Substitute Shinigami was a close one. Sosuke Aizen tried what he could to block his attacks, but the strikes kept on coming. Yamamoto Genryusai was dead, taken in by his own power. Or was he? He wasn't sure, but he had to ensure that at least he was dead, taking the entire history of the Soul Society with him. He flash stepped behind Ichigo and readied a kido spell. "Bakudo 63: Sajo Sabaku." Golden chains materialized, and wrapped themselves around the Substitute Shinigami. "Kurosaki, I could have a use for you. But for now, I believe it is time secure my victory. Break, Kyoka Suigetsu." Ichigo attempted to cover his eyes, but a tap on the forehead triggered an impulse, forcing him to open his eyes. "You are Soul Society's trump card. Under my Zanpakuto, the Shinigami have at last lost." Then, out of nowhere, a portal had opened. It wasn't a Senkeimon, nor was it a Garganta. A ripple in the sky had formed, and through it burst a red dragon. "Even more reinforcements?" Aizen asked himself. Within the Dragon's tail, he could see a man on a bike, who directed himself towards Aizen. The dragon vanished, the man on the bike was still there. "And who might you be?" "I am the fabulous Crow-sama! The Crimson Dragon told me that there were some people to take care of, and I'm here to stop you." "Intriguing. Then, would that Crimson Dragon of yours be your God?" "Huh, God? Hm, I suppose that would make sense." "Then perhaps if I slay you, then it shall return." "I'll see you try! Blackfeather Dragon, attack!"[spoiler=Match 1-2: Shapesnatch vs. Gaara]The Kage Summit over, Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro all headed back to their home village. "So," Kankuro began. "You really think that kid's going to make the right choice.""Remember, I was once a monster myself," Gaara answered. "Perhaps Naruto will be able to bring Sasuke back to the side of good. Although, I do fear that Sasuke's darkness has grown too strong for even Naruto to overcome. If worse comes to worse, one of them must die.""'One of them'?" Temari repeated. "You don't think Naruto will win?""We can't rule out that possibility just yet. He may have defeated some of Akatsuki's number, but against someone like Sasuke, I wouldn't know.""Then, should we send aid to Konoha?" Temari suggested."Why? You worried about that Shikamaru guy?" Kankuro teased."N-no! I just think we should help them out in case Naruto doesn't succeed.""But what if he attacks the other villages?" "Halt," a voice said. In the distance, the Sand Siblings saw a man dressed in a black cloak, trimmed with white markings."And who might you be?" Gaara demanded."That is a question that shall be revealed in due time, young Kazekage. For the moment, I shall set you to deal with a friend of mine, so as to test your power." Drawing from his cloak, he revealed a card. Almost immediately, a bizarre creature in a suit and hat appeared. It bore one eye in a fleshy face placed atop a mechanical body. "I anticipate that you shall all taste his horrible power." The man vanished, leaving the Sand Siblings to face the machine.[spoiler=Match 1-3: Kouta Tsuchiya vs. Akito/Agito/Lind Wanijima (Written by Plaguespreader)]"Attention Class!" The booming voice of Class F's teacher, Ironman, annhilated the ears of the students. "I am introducing a new student today, his name is Akito Wanijima." The new child entered the classroom, dressed in the school's male clothing. "I trust that everyone here will get along with Akito." Ironman said as he left the room. "Hello." Akito said to the class. Ironman returned to the class after a few moments of Akito and the other students getting acquainted, "Ah yes, I had forgotten, today there will be a mock Exam Summoning Battle, to get Akito familiar with the school's system of battle." "Akito, the rules are simple, you summon a monster based on the score of your tests, the higher your test score, the higher your power." Ironman said to the innocent child. "You will each pair up with a partner, and you will face your partner as if he or she were another Class. Akito, you will take Kouta Tsuchiya on as your opponent." Kouta "Voyeur" Tsuchiya was busy tryiing to take a picture of Shimada's undergarments, but his ears lifted at the mentioning of his name, he turned, and saw the new student standing next to Ironman. "Kouta Tsuchiya!" Ironman yelled at the top of his lungs "Akito Wanijima! Permission Granted!" The classroom became a summoning warfield, as Kouta and Akito summoned their beasts. Kouta noticed something, more...evil about the face of Akito, after he had started the battle against him, but he thought nothing of it, and the battle began.[spoiler=Match 1-4: Rukia Kuchiki vs. Eric Cartman vs. The Nostalgia Critic]"Hello, I'm the Nostalgia Critic, I remember it so you don't have to. Now, there are two things I really can't stand. First off, there's anime. Yes, I love Spirited Away, but so many people have been asking me to review more anime stuff. I had to suffer through that godawful Pokemon movie, and you should know how much people demanded me to review that Dragonball Evolution movie, which I will admit was pretty bad. Now, the second would be people from South Park, particularly Cartman. I really don't need to explain why, but-" A portal opened, and out stepped a young girl dressed in a kimono, with a sword by her side. "Hello, Japanese chick entering my room," the Critic said with a smile. "You can see me? Never mind, I heard there was a Hollow in this area." "But-" ROAR! A large, beast surfaced, shaped like a bear. In it's teeth hung a young boy, who the Nostalgia Critic immediately recognized as Cartman. "The Hollow!" The girl jumped, and quickly decapitated the beast, dropping Cartman onto the street. "Hey!" Cartman screamed. "Just what the hell was that?" The Critic walked out onto the street, not bothering to question why there were no cars around. The girl suddenly teleported to the ground. "Young soul, it is time for you to depart." "Just what are you talking about, you jabroni?" "You're dead, so now I must send you to the Soul Society." The girl pointed to a chain attached to where Cartman's heart should be. "Ah crap, really? I died before Kyle." "I'm afraid so. Now..." Cartman made a run for it, refusing to be sent away. That and the Critic was chasing him with a gun. "I don't care if you're dead, I want to shoot you anyway." The girl teleported before Cartman and grabbed him by the collar. "Hey, let me go!" "Okay, now who are you?" the Critic asked. "I am Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami." "Hey," Cartman cried. "Don't ignore. Let me go, I'll give you a bunny or whatever you want!" Rukia's eyes lit up. "A bunny?" She dropped Cartman at the thought, and the boy continued running. "Nice job," the Critic mocked. "You let him go for a stupid bunny." "Hey, don't insult bunnies!" Rukia took a charge with her sword. "Not so fast, I have a friend in Santa Christ!" All of a sudden, Santa Christ himself appeared. "Let's get him, Santa Christ!" "Ohohoho, yes, Critic, but first I must deal with that very naught little boy." "Oh, bring it on, fatty!" Cartman challenged. And thus began the battle between a Shinigami, a young boy, a critic, and Santa Christ.
Umbra
Yeah. Fairly sure this violates the new rules on minimum chapter length. Plus, I know you can do better than this.
Phantom Roxas
They're just copy-pastes of the scenarios that are meant to serve as prototypes for the actual story; they're not meant to be taken seriously or be seen as spectacular. These are to be seen as teasers.
Umbra
Copy-pastes or not, they're still not long enough to constitute a chapter. Not to mention that copy-pastes don't sound "ambitious" at all, if you ask me.
Phantom Roxas
The ambition is that I'm writing a story loosely based on the tournament. The actual story this thread is meant for is not going to be any of these.
bury the year
Yeah. Umbra pretty much sums up why this thread needs to be reconsidered. Roxy, even if these are just "copy-pastes," you still need to obey the overall length requirements. LOCKED.
Phantom Roxas
Duly noted. My apologies. I'll keep this locked until I have a few real chapters.
