The typical, people see some people protest, they decide oh we can go fight the police and it will be justified..then everyone thinks what the heck let's just go and use it as a chance to rebel against authority. Stupid ideas. I agree with Cameron, if you're old enough to do the crime you're old enough to be punished.

So what if they're already living in deprived areas no reason to attack local people and local shops. I remember seeing on Anglia that they helped someone out then proceeded to rob him.

I swa that Video. If I was injured and a group of Yobs came up to me to help, I wouldn't even accept it. Looks like things are kicking up again now as well. I'm preying that these Riots do not start in Essex. Otherwise I will be forced to Arm myself to protect my Property. I have a Machete I only use in Emergencies.

I'm unaware of the laws regarding free expression within London, but if the citizens feel that their right to unbiased authority is being deprived, and that previous attempts at getting attention has been nullified, then I don't have anything against violent protesting. The fact that I'm in California and I'm hearing about these riots proves enough how powerful violence can be.

That's why we have organised Protests that usually are Peaceful. Now it's just plain Vandalism and Looting. So many people's lives are being destroyed. We didn't help the Youths of today? They shouldn't be living on Handouts and actually do some work for their Wages.

media portrayals are usually biased, so I'm not sure if it was a large number taking part in Vandalism. Peaceful protests are usually bad, non-violent ones are better.

Also, I think the issue here is that there are no employment opportunities. I think they want to work, handouts are certainly worse in funding than actual jobs. If you really want them to make their own wages, go find them job employment.

Hey some of us 'youth' are actually looking for work.

People forget how these 'riots' started, with a shooting of a man reportedly in a gun battle in Tottenham.

The Tottenham Riots was caused by that. All Riots after that are merely Copycat Crimes out of pure Greed. Maybe I should have said it more clearly. The Hooded Youths of today brought up on Drugs and Rap Culture along with a Family who just scrounges Child Benefits for having Multiple kids is what is Rotting Britain to the Core.

You know that Kids as young as 8 have been seen causing Violense and Looting? So much for tommorow's generation.

Exactly, seriously their parents need punishment for not having sufficient control over their children. I wouldn't accuse Rap culture. (I remember when Eminem brought it up in a song, that rappers were getting blamed for what the youth were doing.)

I think my computer said it all. When it played a song called 'At The Mercy Of Imbeciles'.

You have Black? They're said to be the worst in atleast 30 years. Opportunities are short nowadays, but they are improving.

Birmingham as well, and that tends to follow London. True about the street gangs might only be causing the destruction I doubt they're the only ones doing the looting though.
