The Italian film "Life is Beautiful". I honestly can't think of another film that actually filled me with pure hate, whereas other films simply irritate me with their stupidity. The main character is incredibly obnoxious, despite his noble intentions in the second half of the film, and I feel that the fact that he's played by the director greatly hinders it. Upon analysis, I've decided that he is a prime example of a Gary Stu that isn't as obvious. He gets the girl, who is incidentally played the director's wife, in spite of the fact that she is already engaged. Said fiancee is meant to be seen as an arrogant jerk, but upon reflection, I realized that his arrogance is only displayed as a result of Guido's (The "protagonist") idiocy. My favorite characters in the film are his uncle and a friend of his who I can't recall is either a Nazi or simply an ally of the party.

Oh, and it's a tragicomedy set during the Holocaust. Comedy is present through much of the film, but considering how Roberto Benigni insisted on including comedic dialogue at a concentration camp, it only further aggravates. I honestly don't know why it received the awards it did. I thought it was an offensive mess, and while I'll agree that it was very well-made from a production standpoint, the story itself is just ridiculous. I want to see the film again to re-evaluate my opinion, but I have doubts that my mind will be changed much. There is simply no other film I hate the most in this world.

I consider Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" to be a brilliant opposite to the film. Very few characters are likable, and ironically the Italians make up my favorite group in the film. It's a case where a cast of unlikable characters makes it difficult to decide who is in the right and who you want to root for, and yet that adds an interesting level of complexity to the film.

Theatre worker finally gets his opinions in:

Everyone look up the movie 'Creature'. It's coming out soon there are trailers for it, but the best part of it is the poster.
It's an absolute JOKE of a movie. I did not jump in fear nor stand back in surprise when I saw both the trailers and the poster; I laughed. Laughed at how pathetic it was, laughed because it looked like the WORST MOVIE EVER. OF ALL TIME.

Mine is probably Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1. Went by too fast, and the whole ending left something to be desired. And, not alot of dialouge.

I equate this to a fireworks display I saw in a small town a few years back. It just kept going and you didn't really know when it was going to end. There were points where it looked like the finale and we all got up to go, but it didn't stop there. It just kept on chugging along. Finally it ended, as many things, not with a bang, but a whimper (and for a fireworks display, that sure is saying something).

Considering it was just a set-up movie, though, I give it SOME leeway.

lol we watched this in italian class. it was an "ok" movie, until the Germans flee the camp and the American tank rolls up and its like RLY?!?!?! I mean come on that was so stupid my entire class was like >.> For those of you who don't know, this Jewish boy and his parents are put in a Nazi concentration camp. The mother is separated because of gender and the boy is actually too young to work, so his father hides him and tells him he must be quiet and obey all the rules and if he can do that until everyone else "loses", he will win the "game" they are playing. Then the father tells the boy the person who lasts the longest will get a prize, which is is the tank that everyone is making (because it's a labor camp and the Jews are being forced to build a tank). Naturally, at the end of the movie, the Americans liberate the camp by rolling through the gate with one of their tanks, so obviously the boy thinks he won and got the prize. Srsly -______-

Oh that, that was actually BSed. In the book the military never showed up.

And you should have expected that, King's films tend not to have happy endings.

Besides, he accomplished his goal: he didn't allow his kid to get eaten by the monsters.

My least favorite movie?
Hmm.
Transformers 2 and 3 are terrible. 1 is acceptable but I wouldn't watch it again. Harry Potter is bad.
Anything with Nicholas Cage is terrible.

Hey, The Rock wasn't such a bad film, though I have to say differently for Drive Angry

I think that was the only thing that made me chuckle, and yet it is still very stupid. I think that the biggest problem with the film was that the humor was very inappropriate. It tried too hard to be like a slapstick cartoon, and it just came off as an insulting train wreck. That film was enough to make Roberto Benigni the director I hate the most, although I shall have to suffer through Life is Beautiful again and watch some of his other films to make a valid judgment.

The fact that I have some German blood in me and cheered at Guido's death with no regret (In the middle of class, no less) has some rather… interesting implications.

I can't decide which was worse, Revenge of the Fallen or Dark of the Moon, although I'm leaning towards the latter. I agree that the first one was definitely the best.

Con Air is awesome, and National Treasure, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Ghost Rider are all rather entertaining.

I don't necessarily think Nic Cage movies are good, I just find his acting entertaining.

Same thing with most Bruce Campbell stuff, though I adore Evil Dead and it's sequels.

I don't really have a especially least-favorite movie, I mean, I know awful movies though most of them I actually find humorous.

Like the worst one I've actually seen in full would probably be The Room, but me and my brother were laughing our asses off the entire time.

I said it was entertaining, but I seriously want to see some clarification about why it was considered that awful.

Acting, dialogue, plus I never liked Ghost Riders character which added to my prejudiced hate of the movie before I watched it. The best of the movie is Johnny Cash's song. It was him wasn't it?
