This is the weekly CC Challenge, which will substitute the monthly events I do my best to hold; while I'm busy and I believe it will be much more engaging with the community as a whole. And you will all be tasked with 2-3 cardmaking tasks a week. The rules are as follows based on the challenges, as well as points will be calculated according to the following points:

Picture and Flair, Accuracy to the challenge given, Ruling Errors and Oversights, Balance and Playability, Overall Design.

Semi-Weekly Challenge

  • You will be given 1 of these a week or per challenge cycle.
  • You can earn a maximum of 5 scoreboard pojnts a week from this.
  • Receiving negative marks are counted towards your scoreboard points, you can only gain.
  • The task will be mandatory if you receive to increase your rank per week, you cannot participate in extra challenges without completing this (however you may post multiple challenges in the same thread or at the same time; just complete this one).

AoC Challenge

  • There will be a minimum of one of these a week.
  • You can earn a maximum of 5 scoreboard points a week from this.
  • Receiving negative marks on this are counted against your scoreboard points, you can receive a reduction in points.
  • This task is not mandatory to increase your rank per week, but will increase your rank faster as an incentive.
  • This challenge will be based on either AoC, or Pop Culture and will often be ridiculous, over the top or require knowledge of another series etc. Some will be easy some will be hard, but we'll do our best to make it as fun as possible.

Reviewer/Mod Challenge

  • Once per week a recommended reviewer, suggested by the populace will be selected as a writer for this challenge.
  • If none can be found or none accept, either Mikhail, Lovely CC or I will substitute in this challenge.
  • You can earn another maximum of 5 scoreboard points a week from this.
  • Receiving negative marks will be left up to the Challenge Host as part of their own rules.
  • This challenge is not mandatory to increase your rank per week, but will increase your rank faster as an incentive.

N.B. All events for each week are archived in this post.

Weekly Challenge #3

Make a Level 2 or 3 Synchro Monster with at least 1 non-specific material that lists a kind of monster (does not count towards standard tuner and non-tuner requirements).

AoC Challenge #3

Make a card or set of cards that include you and/or your opponent doing something nonsensical like facepalming, yelling something out, using the effect of a card being used in another duel visible from their seat. That kind of thing.

Reviewer #3 - NumberCruncher's Challenge

  • Create a monster with 8000 ATK

For the first reviewer, I'd probably suggest Lovely Chan, since I can't actually think of many people.

Lovely Chan = Lovely CC = Moderator of PC and Contests at the moment.

If no non-moderator reviewer can be found, she will be chosen among the current 3 CC moderators.

Also, your post is now reserved as the Scoreboard posts which will rank members. Editing it will result in a warning suitable for how much you edited.

I know that, I'm just saying that there aren't that many people in CC I can think of.

OK, I think J-Max would be suitable then. He's been posting here a bit recently so maybe him instead of Lovely Chan.

And ok about the editing thing.

...I really wouldn't nominate J-Max at all. :S

Any reason why? Sure reviewing is not my strongest point but you didn't have to put it so harshly :/

Oh, no no no. It's of no offense to you, it's just that I wouldn't want to put you up straight away. I'd like to test it with someone a bit more experienced first. Maybe when we can verify that the entire program works you can do some reviews.

Don't worry about it Kokonoe *Hugs* Just was a bit offended that's all. Think that Rag might be up to this Josh? He does review a lot of Cards and with a little tutoring, he may just be able to be even more detailed.

Absolutely not. One must be engaged in the TCG as well as review process/making cards, or make cards at least biweekly and participate in the review process in order to participate in any event in a Staff capacity. I've had this rule since I became a moderator and started events, it will not change. One must do before he can say. This rule extends to myself as well, as I will never judge any cards until I make some myself and someone else reviews them.

And yes, for these purposes I do keep tabs on members or research them.

*feels accomplished*

I'd like to be part of this if I have the opportunity :3

And at above post, it's true. While ragnarok is very devoted, we AND he know that he needs to AT LEAST play the game to be part of this.

There's a reason those who I nominated in the Awards only got one vote. TCG knowledge is the most important thing when making anything realistic. To know nothing of the game defies the term "realistic", does it not?

The more capable members are indeed TCG posters. But I'm even particularly sure of what you are trying to say here.

But still, you can't just say "You know the basics, so it's all good". I mean, sorry to point this out Max, but you commented on how a card that sent the entire deck to the grave was suicide, when in reality it's an OTK move that wasn't hard to pull off, just required you to run something that gained Life Points for the cost.

Guys. Rag may not be up to your standards, but he is a key piece of RC. Besides, life has to be catching up to him by now.

Constant short, poorly structured reviews with a lack of content and knowledge of the TCG is a key piece of RC... No wonder the better players/card makers show a sense of hatred towards RC.

I was talking about the activeness, not knowledge. At the end of the day, he helps keep RC alive. Anyway, I've got a challenge to do.

Only a key piece with the newbies which while "valuable" because everyone else is lazy it doesn't escape the fact that, anyone over 500 posts as surpassed him in every single credible way imaginable.

Regarding the credibility factor with knowing the TCG. That is tangible, but only if you learn as you go as many people do. Theory is fine, when you listen to advice from people who know more than you on a certain subject and while you may not agree, acknowledging it is the upmost key here. Which is why credibility in CC is factored as: "Reviewing Cards and Posting Cards", "Posting Cards and participating in the Card Game", "Participating in the Card Game and Reviewing Cards". Once your choice among those 3 are defined, then we factor in your influence over a section and not until afterwards.

So yes, you can know nothing about the game; if you do something about it.
