Funerals suck.

Seriously, why the hell do I gotta go and get up at 6AM for someone I barely even know. And I don't wanna wear a goddamn suit and tie, it's a funeral.

I swear when I die, no one wearing a suit or a tie is going to be allowed to my funeral. At all.
Unless they bring someone hot with them. Then I'll make an exception.

Cause you know, I'll be a ghost and all. Haunting your sh*t for all eternity. And making life hell for anyone who wears a suit and tie that doesn't bring someone hot.

Also on that note, a tie is the most useless piece of clothing ever. Discuss.

You talk about haunting, but then doesn't that give the dead power to haunt YOU if you don't wear a suit for them?

Ties aren't useless because they happen to part of a 'clean' image. A guy with a tie would look more professional and rich than a guy without, for instance.

But if I am ever to have a funeral, then I'll have it at midnight. So nobody has to wake up early. Personally, I don't care what I would wear when I die. I mean, it's just gonna get wasted underneath all that dirt for thousands of years pointlessly.

Are we talking about ties or funerals?

Or both? [s]However the hell they're linked. Apart from wearing ties to funerals.[/s]

Back in my country we don't wear such shizzlestix to funeral. Most people don't.

Everyone dies everyday.

Also what Manzo said about haunting, unless you wanna... well, commit suicide and haunt everyone else.

Yes. They serve no purpose whatsoever...

I don't mind funerals if they are relevant to me. They are supposed to be a celebration of the person's life, and the wake is always high spirited with good food and drink. I won't be dragged along to the funeral of someone I barely knew.

When you have parents who insist that you know the guy. And you aren't out of the house yet.

Lucky for me I've only been to 2 funerals. My Grandmother, and my Aunt. So I actually knew them.

I dont thinks it's fair that they should force you to go.

I've only been to 1. For my best friend who died of Pancreatic cancer.

Been to 3 funerals in my life (2 persons who I actually knew). 1 was my father, who I did know, but not that much, as he was working all over the country. Then it was my grandmother from my fathers side, who I did know more. And then the most recent one (crematation to be exact) was my great aunt, who I actually didn't know.

Funny thing tough, I never wore any formal clothing on those funerals. Maybe I did when I went to my fathers and his mothers funeral, but they happened like 10-12 years ago, so I do not remember much about them. On my great aunts crematation, I wore a T-Shirt and jeans.

Committing suicide so that you can haunt everyone else is pretty much a bet. You're betting that there's no Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, or Reincarnation, and that your ghost will be able to actually haunt, not just be a pointless observer.

When was I ever implying I would commit suicide just so I could haunt people?
Idiot.

Have I ever called you an idiot?
If not, I'm calling you one now.

It was my aunt.

I hate going to funerals because they're boring, and if I had aby shred of emotion at all I'd probably burst into tears from the overwhelming sadness in the room. I'm talking about black people funerals, since my dad (who's white) never took me to any besides my great grandmother's, who I actually knew.

Why do funerals I go to have after parties?

I barely knew my Cousin who died earlier this year (April or so), but I had always admired him. Cool kid and we had some brief if amazing times. Oddly enough, I was the only one who bothered to dress up in proper funeral attire; everyone else really didn't care.

Disliked ties all the way through secondary school, they ditched them like 2 years after I left sixth form (which was 4 years after I finished secondary school).

Never been to a funeral. I ended up house sitting for my grandma for my great grandmas and wasn't allowed to go to my grandparents ones.

I've been to my aunt's funeral and both of my grandfathers'.
They sucked.
Oddly enough, my mom's father gave me a lot of ties for when I entered high school (catholic school) and I ended up getting his entire collection (he collected ties).
Even at work, people are always saying I'm wearing a swank tie.
...I miss my folks.

I don't want a funeral. Cause I'm dead, so I don't care. Also don't care if I'm buried, burned, stuffed in a locker at an elementary school, doesn't matter. I'm dead.

And when I am dead, I don't want people sitting around crying about me, and having people at my funeral that I don't even know who just want to go home.
I really don't mind them, and complaining about wearing a tie is a bit childish.

Ties serve no purpose. They look stupid, they're disgustingly dirty, and they're uncomfortable.

Stupidest excuse for a piece of clothing ever invented.
