[/quote] Option 1: Konami had to print his ninjas after his brief appearance so they figured that they might as well print some additional support. Option 2: Yuma inherited the Dojo's deck. It's very likely that it packs some ninja cards. Option 3: He does return and gets smash'd in the first round because he is unimportant fodder and unimportant fodders tend to get smash'd.
