The 'Developous' Format

Recommended Posts

Best way of sorting this out and forgetting it is to explain that every card on the banlist is broken for some reason or another even without combos. Once we do that, no-one can argue.

ALL of the cards on the banlist are broken for some reason or another, even without combos. Then, with all of the new cards, you'd be making new combo restrictions every 10 seconds. Why? Just keep them there.

As said, Pokemon has only a few of these combination bans. For good reason. Because they are bad for design purposes, they make the game more complicated and less fun etc.

You'd overcomplicate the game. Horribly. No-one would play YGO at all.

Anyway, you're saying horrible combos in the first place. If you actually thought of 1 card which is not abusable at all outside of 1 single combo, it would be a nice exception. But you're not :S

Your right, the ONLY card that I can think of IS Butterfly in the first place. And thats not enough even by MY standards.( I would require AT LEAST 3 cards for this to be worthwhile)

However... maybe SOMONE can find something... Doubtful, but hay. As is... though, even I agree, if the only card would be butterfly, there no point in making this form of ruling.

my EXCUSE is that I am not in touch with the latest cards, and too lazy to look.

Not our fault that you're a lazy f*** who doesn't bother to do research before they make a thread like this.

Actually, the concept is THIS:

Certain cards cannot be in the same decks as other cards.

You see... this format would allow some cards to get better ratios, etc, but also have combos that are forbidden.

But the problem is... your only slamming this down, and not thinking of good combos in the first place for this kind of ruling.

Here's the format:

You cannot use ???? if ???? is in the same deck.

Thats all to the new ruling. Thats what we are attacking. Complex, maybe. But not if we limit how many such rulings can be on each card.
I would set that limit to 5... if that.

"You cannot have Butterfly Dagger - Elma in a deck with Gearfried the Iron Knight"
"You cannot have Card of safe return in a deck with Manticore of darkness."
"You cannot have graceful charity in a deck with GOLLD or SYLVA"

get my jist? Basicly, dont deny the cards just because of overpowered combos... ban those combos.

This is asking too much of the casual player. The burden of knowledge will lead to a very unfun experience by many new players.
