This card gains 200 ATK for each DARK monster on the field (excluding this card). While this card is face-up on the field: Spell Cards are banished instead of being sent to the Graveyard. Once per turn: Tribute OR discard a number of DARK monsters you control; add an equal number of banished Spell Cards to your hand. If this card would be destroyed by a card effect: banish 1 Spell Card you control instead. If this card is destroyed by a card effect: you can banish it; return all banished Spell Cards to their respective Graveyard.[/center]

I find this card to be fair. You protect it by banishing Spells, yet, it banishes all other future spells itself so, no refuels usually. You get back Spells, yet, it's only the ones you have recently banished because odds are, other Spells are in the Graveyard. Materials are kinda unrelated, other than Yugi using them both.
You need a build that can get you many Spells in the Graveyard fast, then get this out fast, then many recyclable fiends. In other words, a Deck for itself.
The game currently has just what this needs. Level 5+ Normal Monsters have their own searcher @3, there is a 2400 ATK monster that returns to the hand when Tributed. There is Sangan + Tour Guide.

Your card is good.
The only suggestion I'd give it is making it a Fiend-Type so that it can be Summoned with [b]Dark Fusion[/b] and [b]Dark Calling[/b].

Thank you for the in-depth review. I'd give you a +like, but I seem to have ran out for the day.

Yes, making him a Fiend-Type makes sense; I will do that right away.

I was thinking of giving him an effect that when he leaves the field, you can banish him to return all banished Spell Cards to their respective Graveyards. Does that seem fair?
