I think that's the point. The archetype's bigger than usual for a reason. They're not all supposed to be used in its dedicated decks I believe.
But other than that, Urnight/Tornado/Drago are great cards. That last one I posted looks good at first glance too but I haven't tested it to see how it wokrs out yet.

Yeah, that's the point.

The topic's literally been summed up so hmm.

Koa'ki Meiru Ice is decent but Tornado's cooler.

If you're running an Urnight-based deck, Tornado's good @1.

I can't help but wonder what the designers were trying to do with the archetype. Were they trying to make a synergetic archetype or a bunch of archetype cards that are only good in a deck that doesn't revolve around them?

And really, all the Core support cards are terrible, not helped by the fact almost all Koa'kis make you discard it, and it doesn't do anything on its own.

well, the designers meant for it to bring down a whole meta. A lot of the cards have Card Effect and SS negation too.
I don't think the support is bad though, (Iron Core is added back to your hand from your grave and a lot of Koa'ki Meiru effects trigger by just revealing Iron Core in your Hand) Also, cards like "Core Blaster" "Core Blast" "Iron Core Luster" "Core Transport Unit" are good for its deck imo.

Konami made this archetype all wrong. It should have been either discard a monster of the matching type, or reveal the core.
That way all the core related support would actually make sense.
....Well, theoretically, they could have done that to make everything more Archetype-like, rather then a series of monsters that can function in there own specific decks, with useless support for a card that clogs the hand.

Things wrong with that screenshot:

1. You're running Doom in Koa'Ki Meiru, where he has little to no use, in a PLANT deck, no less.
2. You're dueling a guy who uses Wind-Ups wrong, and claim it means something
3. WTFMETALREFLECTSLIME

OT:
As much as I love them "Pure Koa'Ki" aka Beast-Warriors + Rocks is a meh-ish deck, Urknight Turbo isn't too bad but not great, and Rock Stun is hilarious beyond all reason.

I really hate Ghoulungulate

This is true.

He was using it to summon Gustaph Max. Yeah, I know.

[/quote]Koa'ki Zombies pretends to work for a minute then fails. The combos look so good on paper though. When Mezuki hits 2 again, I'll try them out once more.
