Heavy Storm

Recommended Posts

After playing in this format for a month, and remembering the hell of last format, this coming back was amazingly GOOD for the game.

Sure, there's the fact it is OPed and can get get crazy plusses, but we no longer have that BS era of "Set 4". In fact, very rarely do people ever devote more than 2 S/Ts to the field at a time, if not protected by Judgment, Bribe, or Road. I feel this actually improves skill, as you have to decide which cards are both

1) Good for stopping opponent plays
2) Expendable enough where getting MSTed or Storm wont cost you the game.

In any given opening move, I will likely set only 1 or 2 S/Ts and conserve the others in my hand, trying to predict what my opponent may be running and is likely to do to counter my opening move. This improves my game significantly and I do believe I am improving further as a player as a result of this.

HGSS cards are still legal.... right?

OT:
I think that format without it was a good rest. It was never a sure thing how the game would turn if the card wasn't around.
Somehow, I don't feel any pressure from this being around ever since it came back, and it certainly is a better choice than Giant Trunade to have.
