Actually I would think it's the other way around. Fear is derived from common sense. Even if I don't fear taming a wild dog that doesn't mean that i'm going to.

You aren't afraid that maybe an arm might be severed or hurt? We weren't born knowing that eating poison is bad. However babies will cry if a large animal such as a large dog comes up to them. Even as a playful gesture. You grow up and learn to have common sense. Without fear (A primeval instinct that kept us alive.) what would be the use of common sense. Knowing not to do something but not thinking about the consequences?

important yin-yang's IMO
happiness and sadness (basic)
love and hate (basic)
anger and tranquility (I've noticed a lot of people would rid anger, but from anger sprouts passion and without it rids the compliment of tranquility)
humored and serious (yes these are emotions not states of mind)
lustful and chaste (you can't have love without lust believe it or not)
hungry and contempt/satisfied (hunger also breaks off into greed, gluttony and envy but without it we lose passion, to always feel contempt leads to lack a of aspiration)
self-conscious and ignorant (obvious reasons the the balance of the 2)

not as important IMO
All emotions are yin-yang, tell me one that isn't. But out of all of them there's a few where you can make do without the compliment of the other.

slothed and driven: you might think sloth is more of a state of mind or kind of satisfaction but I identify it as an emotion because it is complimented by the emotion of "willing." I really find no use in sloth, because its not sacrificing rest or recovery, sloth is an emotion of not wanting to do, when it is completely in your power to do so.

confusion and clarity: Although this balance is required for the world to revolve a single individual blessed with the lack of confusion is the greatest gift the current world has to offer. to live life with only certainty and clarity is probably great in a world surrounded by confusion. It does not mean you know all, it just means you know what to do and say at that very moment for the rest of your life. That's what I call bliss.

between the 2 I'd rid confusion, its probably better to know when its okay to feel slothed then to always be willing to do, even when its not the best of choices.

I'd erase jealousy because I actually hate being jealous of what some things other people have that I don't have because it can make me depressed, and feel like I'm missing out on what they have.

This is the one emotion I have no idea why we have, to put our luckiness in perspective? Kind of the opposite if I do say so myself.

Is idiocy/stupidity an emotion?
If you're asking if stupidity is an emotion you need to rephrase the question and ask yourself; am I a stupid-idiot hybrid?

JUST KIDDING. <3

BOREDOM

urgh

Lol, a friend of mine explained to me why you don't have to be bored. To put his long lecture simply; there is always something to do to occupy yourself. At the end of the day it is down to you whether to procrastinate an activity and make yourself bored.

Love.

What a waste of time.
I was originally going to post this, but I decided against it. After all, while love might be why I'm so sad all the time now, it was once the reason that I was extremely happy.

Therefore... I'd diminish sadness. Not erase, because it is needed for someone to grasp the idea of happiness fully. At least that way, love would make you feel happy, but not as sad it would if things don't work out.

The post saying that love is required for reproduction: you have no idea what you're talking about. It's easy to have sex with someone you don't love, it just means less.

I'm not good with words, this gets worse when expressing myself in a foreign language (...that I learned playing Pokemon and reading translated manga).
Furthermore, I was careless and thought of something really childish and simplistic that can't probably be achieved with the removal of emotions alone.
...
Yasu just wants to observe a world in which everyone cares about each other and doesn't mind orienting their actions towards more general -but almost equally satisfying- goals.
(>= w=)>

I'm aware of the fact that we somehow manage to screw up everything in the end.
...
I'm curious about the "somehow" part.
So......

Perfect communism?

If I could erase emotions I would erase guilt and love.
So

How would we learn from our stupid mistakes if we never felt guilty for doing them in the first place

And Korean, Anger has caused many people to do the stupidest of things and never amounts to anything productive

No, "good" passion doesn't have to be sprouted from anger

Perhaps a little competition between one another to keep a healthy mood

But full on anger is dangerous

My second would be nervousness xD
