1. Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.
Anything that works with said mechanic or Archetype. Like, Machinas for example. They don't have any straight theme beside them, but work very well because they have solid cards. Or Geminis' best support, Gemini Spark, doesn't go towards their main goal.

2. Define what you see as generic support
Cards that work in pretty much any deck without any restrictions, like Solemn Judgment, Dark Hole, Monster Reborn etc.

3. Please list up to the 3 most common decks you use, and how they work.
Chaos Herald - Basically, bring out Herald of Perfection, tributing Djinn Releaser of Rituals for it, thus locking down opponent's Special Summons and nullyfing their further attempts at removing Herald, negating their cards by its own effect. Tour Guide From the Underworld helps searching out Djinn, and Manju and Senju tutor up the Herald. Because of deck's use of both LIGHT and DARK monsters, it can close up games with Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, and thanks to Tour Guide, has access to various Xyz Monsters.

Something that achieves the archetype's goal faster. (ex: Quickdraw Synchron)

Something that achieves the mechanic's goal faster (ex: Quillbolt, Glow-Up, PSZ)

Define what you see as generic support.

Search cards (E-Call, Smoke Signal, Fetters)

Gallis Mash. Used to be Gallis FTK which used Gallis the Star Beast with Koa'ki Meiru Doom and Genex Ally Birdman. Now, a Monster Mash deck which uses ONLY monsters in the deck and no backrow (until DN fixes the Toy Magician problem.) Sephylon is the killing machine, and it runs 3 Metaion and Mole for bouncing. Uses Gallis for Synchros, Xyz, and sacking for Jinzo/ Dasher. Extra deck is generic save for the Locomotion. Witch of the Black Rose lets you

Dasher Mash. Like Gallis Mash, but it built around Dasher and using it's effect by dumping it with Armageddon Knight and Dark Grepher.

I'm really not very prominent and active on CC as much as I could be, but I'll try to take the survey.

1. Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.

Support for an archetype or mechanic is supposed to actually help it at all. For example, Machina Gearframe. This is a card that supports the Machina deck. Even if you're running the worse, strictly inferior version of the deck, which is focusing on Machina Force, this card is still the best support for it, because it can search ANY combo piece of the deck. Now, if we look at the HERO archetype, it's composed of various different styles and decks. and in this archetype, we have a big amount of terrible cards that are, in theory, support, but not something I consider proper support, because it doesn't help with the goal of the deck. Like Hero Ring. This card is completely useless in any HERO deck you can build, simply because it does nothing good for the deck(s).

2. Define what you see as generic support.

Generic support are, in my opinion, staples and/or cards that have a wider variety of targets, while still being useful. Cards like Dark Hole, Monster Reborn and Solemn Judgment are almost absolute staples (there's no absolute staple IMO. See Solemn Judgment for example, it's not included in a Frognarch deck, because it conflicts with the main card of the deck (Treeborn Frog).). As for cards with a wider variety of targets, see Honest. Any deck which is focused on LIGHT monsters should run Honest, unless the space is really tight.

3. Please list up to the 3 most common and most powerful decks you use, and how they work.

I'll list 3 of the best decks here.

Plant Synchro. The deck actually consist of only 4 Plant-Type monsters and generally of 6-7 Fiend-Type monsters, but the main combos are still executed by the plants. So, basically, you'll want to run only Lonefire Blossom, Spore, Dandylion and Glow-Up Bulb. These 4 little cards can create insane combos for massive Synchro plays. The other cards should be staples.

Agents. They have a few variants, but most found out that the pure version is better. It also has 2 different, but equally impactant boss monsters, Archlord Kristya and Master Hyperion. The deck's flow goes basically by focusing on The Agent of Creation - Venus and the Mystical Shine Balls, which combined with The Agent of Mystery - Earth and Genex Ally Birdman, creates a lot of Synchro plays. Other variants include: Chaos, Eatos, T.G. Sanctuary-focused (strictly inferior).

Dark World. Also has a few different ways to run it, but all of them will include the 4 main cards of the deck, which are Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, Snoww, Unlight of Dark World, Broww, Huntsman of of Dark World and The Gates of Dark World. Basically, they are more of a control deck, as the swarm version is inferior and subpar.

For those of you responding to the Archetype and Support questions (all of you currently). Can I ask that you grab a card in a currently active thread that tries to be that, convert it to written card format and explain why it is or isn't actually doing what the topic poster claims it does?

Batteryman-Powered Engine
LIGHT/Machine - Xyz - Effect/4/2000/2000
The Xyz Material monsters used to Xyz Summon this card are any 2 "Batteryman" monsters. This card gains the following effect(s) based on the Xyz Materials attached to it; "Batteryman AAA": Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. All face-up "Batteryman" monsters you control gain 600 ATK. "Batteryman AA": Reduce the ATK of all monsters your opponent controls equal to the number of "Batteryman AA" attached to this card x300. "Batteryman D": If this card would leave the field: You can detach 1 "Batteryman D" attached to this card instead. "Batteryman C": Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card. Draw 1 card.

If it goes for flavor, card does its job really well, but execution is rather poor. Effect for AAA is the easiest to achieve, as it can summon another copy of itself. Effect isn't that bad either, with big field it might mean additional thousands of damage. Batteryman AA's effect means only a reduce of 300 per monster. Not that impressive. D's effect isn't that good either, it's just a protection effect. C's effect seems to be the best, but the problem is, Batteryman C isn't played too much, and even this wouldn't up its playablity. All in all, while card fits the archetype well, in practice, it doesn't do much good to it, as Batterymen go mostly AAA Xyz route, or AA OTK.

Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.
Easy. Anything that speeds up that decks goal is something I see as support. A good example, in my opinion, would be Rekindling. It was meant as Flamvell support, and did speed them up, but it worked with other decks too (and better >>), increasing their speed and whatnot. It isn't direct support for those others, but it is support to an archetype for me.

Define what you see as generic support.
Cards that would be considered Staples in most decks are the ones I think of. MST, Heavy Storm, Monster Reborn, things like that. The Solemns, Trap Dustshoot, and Torrential Tribute are the next ones I think of. When I think of Generic Support, I just think of cards any deck can use. Advance their goals or protect themselves, either one.

Please list up to the 3 most common decks you use, and how they work.
For me, my most common deck is Agent Monarchs. It focuses on using the Agents of Earth and Venus, and Master Hyperion in one half of the deck, with the other half focusing on Treeborn Frog and the Monarch monsters, mostly Caius and Raiza, but I do have Thestalos and Mobius sided. The deck also uses cards like Reborn Tengu, Glow-Up Bulb, Genex Ally Birdman, and Formula Synchron to add Synchro Potential to the deck. A main key of the deck is using Venus to to special Summon Mystic Shine Balls, then overlaying into Gachi Gachi, making all of the monsters I have +400. I also have cards like Battle Fader, Gorz, Effect Veiler, and Maxx "C" to give myself a little extra defense / speed. If I need to, I can use Venus, Birdman, and T.G. Warwolf to make Rank 3's like Leviair (To grab Banished Fairies for Hyperion / Birdman) and Wind-Up Zenmaines (For stall and destruction).

The deck only runs six spells, and no traps for the most part. If it did, it would conflict with Treeborn Frog, so I have to keep them out.

1. Archetype support is anything from that card that gives the set of cards the glue to work together or just a way to speed them up as a whole. A good example of the first is Corrosive Contagion Infestation. It doesn't look like much on its own, but it allows for many helpful +0 searches, and being a trap, it's fast enough to save 1 of your Verz or Steelswarm from a Dark Hole or BRD. On top of that, it can return dead Verz Heliotropes to the deck, to add Verz to your hand, and prepare for Rescue Rabbit. Then, there's the other example in Star Sign of the Sacred. It doesn't exactly make the archetype stick together, but it does generate card advantage when you Xyz Summon a Sacred Xyz Monster. This can be used even further with Sacred Pleiades.

2. General support is, obviously, staples like mentioned above, but I believe it can possibly extend beyond that. Cards like Destiny Draw are generic support in a couple of senses. First off, they're a generic draw card for their set; this time happens to be D-HEROes. It also serves as a generic, splashable engine in other places, though most generic support does not also double as this.

3.
Fableds
My favorite archetype. It focuses on swarming the field with low level monsters for the sake of mass Synchro Summoning. If you know anything about the Infernity archetype, picture these guys as their mirror image, nor opposite. Where Infernities spam from the grave, Fableds spam from the hand. Where Infernities keep a low monster count, Fableds keep a high monster count. Fableds also have a large range of tech options, such as Missing X-Saber Invoker, and with it, X-Saber Anu Piranha and XX-Saber Hyunlei. Granted, there are other Lv. 4 EARTH Warriors or Beast-WArriors to run, Anu Piranha is just a personal preference, and 1 of only 2 X-Sabers worth running that fit the requirements. Tour Guide from the Underworld and Fabled Kushano, but the real star of the deck is The Fabled Cerburrel is the true star of the deck. This little demon mutt is the best tuner you could ever hope for in a deck that uses discards to its advantage, and man does he show it off. Other Fableds like Fabled Grimro, Fabled Krus, and The Fabled Chawa are also beneficial, though not as much as Kushano or Cerburrel. Out of archetype cards like Junk Synchron, Doppelwarrior, T.G. Warwolf, and Snipe Hunter are also beneficial.

Also, run as many POT OF AVARICE as legally possible.

The deck suffers from a lack of deck/extra space and always just short of consistency.

Might add 2 more archetypes later

Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.

What is support? In my opinion, it could be hilariously vague. Support will always either work to the overall theme, or for 1 key card. People have a habit of running a small Fabled Raven//Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World engine in order to go for Dark Highlander in Dark World decks. This would go under the second category. Support should fundamentally be giving the deck structure. Things like Surface or Rekindling would go under the first category. However, there are some cards like Rekindling which would go between 'support' and a 'key card' because of how much a deck relies on it as an individual piece. Support, on a small scale, should have very little impact towards a deck, and it's only until you look at support in a deck as a whole that you see the impact. Key cards will always have much more impact because the deck cannot function without it. Rekindling is a great example because Flamvells and Laval200 are highly reliant on it, which would let me put it in the key card category. Which bring up the point that support should not be amazingly good. Otherwise, it's not fully classed as support. The key word is 'want'. Does a deck 'want' or 'need' a card?

Define what you see as generic support.

Generic support is anything that could work just about anywhere. Staples are an immediate example. They are considered generic support because they are fundamentally splashable. Why they are some of the only generic support that is readily seen in decks is only because they just good. There is a lot of generic support that could be used in a lot of places, but aren't used because the deck doesn't need it, in favour of something else (or because of space). Dimensional Alchemist is an immediate example. Most decks would love the consistency that this gives them. However, Tour Guide from the Underworld is used if a deck wants it because it's just better in most decks. After that, they don't have space to add the next card along. Some generic support is used in specific decks more because of their Typing, Attribute or some hidden benefit of the card. In some Agent builds, Dimensional Alchemist is favourable because of its Fairy-Type and LIGHT Attribute. In some decks like Rescue Rabbit builds, a lot of decks have the space to run the extra Dimensional Alchemists along with Tour Guide from the Underworld.

Please list up to the 3 most common decks you use, and how they work.*

I might as well list some personal creations because they are my little babies. As much as I'd love to list all 9 decks I've basically invented and refined, nah.

InsectMash.dek
InsectMash.dek is built on my own principle that Insects can successfully do a MonsterMash with little difficulty. Luckily, the principle was correct. Insects have 1 support card which is literally the only one I use out of most of the Insect support out there. Doom Dozer. There is little need for explanation as first glance brings a free-ish 2800 ATK beatstick. It mills the opponent's deck (which is considered a disadvantage), but who cares? It's fast enough for the side effect to be non-existent. Otherwise, the deck is abusing things like Golden Ladybug, Insects' excessive amount of searching cards, and a Chaos engine to the maximum.

MessierRabbit.dek
MessierRabbit.dek/RabbitFairy.dek/RabbitHeart.dek is what I like to call it. Thank you, Florence Welch into inspiring this. lol. Anyway, it's a Rescue Rabbit deck. Which means it runs Normal Monsters. In this case, it's Binding Chain and Bio-Mage. They are both Level 3, LIGHT and Fairy-Type. As well as Rabbit compatibility, I have a whole world of support possibilities. Being Level 3 and LIGHT lets me Xyz into Sacred Hyades then I can Xyz from Sacred Hyades straight into Sacred Ptolemys Messier 7. It's this Xyz that gives the deck its name as the free 2700 beatstick with in-built recycling and disruption from 2 half-useless Normal Monsters is a great asset to the deck. The two Normal Monsters are also Fairy-Type. This lets me go straight into a free Archlord Kristya when I need to. I add Dimensional Alchemist for further abuse of this fact (and I still have space for the Tour Guide from the Underworld engine, with both engines recovering Rescue Rabbit).

HipsterGears.dek
One of my favourite creations because of how very flowing the two engines go together. A basic Miracle HERO engine with Elemental HERO Neos Alius and an Ancient Gear engine with Ancient Gear Knight and Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon have a lot in common. Simply, the deck is: • Abuse the fact that both Elemental HERO Neos Alius and Ancient Gear Knight are Geminis. Run the simple Gemini support, Gemini Spark. • Abuse the fact that you can use Gemini Spark on Geartown to get out free Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragons and draw 1 card. It's really that simple. Streamlined decks have always been my favourite.
Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.

Simply put, something which adds towards the goal or theme of the given archetype or mechanic, I can't really explain it in better words. Of course there's a difference between good support and bad support for the given archetype or mechanic. I'll explain those two instead. Good support aids the archetype or mechanic in accomplishing its goal without being outclassed by another card, but at the same time without being a card that makes the archetype or mechanic too strong (An example of support that's too good would be Grapha or Archlord Kristya, and an example of support that's good and helps reach a goal would be Quickdraw Synchron or Super Polymerization to name a few). Bad support are cards that are either too specific to work efficiently, don't add to the actual goal of the given archetype or mechanic or are outclassed by a card that does the same (or similar) job better or simply cannot do the job well enough e.g. Blackwing - Hillen the Tengu-wind, Gren, Tactician of Dark World, or Great Shogun Shien. Hillen doesn't support the deck type, and also lacks consistency and competitive viability. Gren is completely outclassed by Grapha and is a complete dead draw in too many situations. Great Shogun Shien is very cloggy and cannot be used efficiently for the deck's best method, Synchro summoning bosses, and its effect isn't as limiting as it may appear.

Define what you see as generic support.

Generic support is quite simply an effect that can be used in virtually any deck (naturally bar a few specifics). Current cards that are a good example are Monster Reborn and Solemn Judgment. Both of these are limited to 1, because they are versatile cards that can be used in any deck, so much so that they are both considered staples. They don't aid anything specific, but they can aid any deck.

Please list up to the 3 most common decks you use, and how they work.

Plant Synchro: This has already been touched upon in the topic but I'll explain anyway. Plant Synchro aims to do just that, synchro summon. It uses the plant engine (Lonefire Blossom, Glow-Up Bulb, Spore and Dandylion) along with numerous staples and cards that gain field advantage (Tour Guide from the Underworld, Reborn Tengu, BLS-Envoy of the Beginning, etc) along with a few disruptive cards to maintain control (Thunder King Rai-Oh, Enemy Controller, etc) and staples.

Fusion Gate HEROes: A "simple" Elemental HERO Fusion deck that revolves around combos involving Fusion Gate. Naturally, Terraforming is also ran @3 to allow for consistency. Technically, the deck is very luck-based around drawing into Gate, however it can function as a general control deck running numerous copies of Maxx "C" and Super Polymerization along with Miracle Fusion which allows Heroes to gain field presence from nothing. Fusion Gate allows for the easy summoning of Fusions and the deck runs plenty of search cards to allow for an easy pick for what Fusion to make instead of relying on a lucky pull. The deck can also OTK. The OTK requires 2 HEROes, 1 Water HERO and 2 Light HEROes, along with Fusion Gate (It's actually ridiculously consistent for a 6 card OTK) The OTK is carried out by fusing 1 of the non-specific HEROes with a Water HERO (Generally Ocean or Ice Edge) to make Absolute Zero. Absolute Zero is then combined with 1 of the Light HEROes to make The Shining and destroy all of the opponent's monsters. Then the final 2 monsters are combined for a second The Shining. At this point, both Shinings are on 4400 atk, easily enough to OTK.

Magical Merchant Insect Turbo: This is the least competitive of the decks, it revolves around a similar theme to Cursed's InsectMash deck, however this doesn't have the ability to run Gallis due to the fear of hitting one of the 5 Spells (Monster Reborn, Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, Mind Control and One for One). The deck naturally hopes to draw into Magical Merchant very early or when a boss (Dark Simorgh, Doom Dozer or BLS-EotB) is in hand. Magical Merchant generally mills a large amount of monsters (Including the plant engine, Level Eaters and numerous level 2s for Junk Synchron) and allows to easily obtain a very good Spell. The deck runs almost solely Light, Dark and Wind monsters, as such the boss monsters become apparent, and most of the monsters are also Insects for Doom Dozer. The deck explodes very fast when it does, and if it can't then it plays similarly to a regular JunkDoppel deck, but with a slightly different engine.

As one who hasn't really looked at CC in a while now, I cannot comment on the remaining questions, although I likely will occasionally browse CC in the near future.

Also, I'll add links later when I feel like I can be bothered.

1. Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.

Support for an decktype is something which helps to increase the consistency of the deck and helps it to achieve all of the components of it's win condition easier. Such can be said with A/D Changer helping the consistency of the decktype called Empty Jar, as it helped to flip Morphing Jar face-up and increase the chances of you being able to deck your opponent out on the first turn.

Support for an archetype is something which helps them strive towards their main goal OR give them something which they desperately needed to increase their chances of winning, while also continuing with their general theme as to not cause conflictions . Such can be said for Infernity Launcher and Infernity Mirage, as they help to spam Infernities while also continuing with their theme of having an empty hand.

Support for a mechanic is something which helps the mechanic to be faster or helps to give it a competitive edge. Such can be said for Supervise in nearly any Gemini build which can easily abuse it, although it can sometimes be considered inconsistent and as such may not be run in some cases. However, decks like Gigavise which revolve around the Gemini-Type Gigaplant to easily spam plants and maintain advantage.

2. Define what you see as generic support

Generic support is a card which can be easily placed in nearly any deck without breaking the game. When a card becomes that good, the deck will begin to simply revolve around getting this card and as such will just change the entire decktype to the point in which it does not become generic support, but instead an essential. An example of this is Tour Guide from the Underworld, as not running it makes your deck quite a lot more inconsistent than most other decks this format. However, cards that can be placed in nearly any deck without being bad for the game are what I would treat as generic support. Such include Dark Hole, Pot of Duality and Solemn Warning.

3. Please list up to the 3 most common decks you use, and how they work.

1. Junk Train - This deck revolves around using Bokoichi the Freightening Car and Dekoichi the Battlenchanted Locomotive in order to draw multiple cards each turn while maintaining advantage and being able to get out powerful monsters nearly all the time. Cards such as Armageddon Knight help to get Bokoichi in the Graveyard, in which Junk Synchron can then Special Summon! Afterwards, you can use the powerful Machine Duplication to get 3 Bokoichi on the field by targeting the Bokoichi you just Special Summoned. This allows you to then flip Dekoichi if you have it face-down and Synchro Summon the powerful Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and Xyz Summon Gachi Gachi Gantetsu using your other 2 Bokoichi!

2. T.G. Lancer Frogs - This deck revolves around using the effect of Ronintoadin to banish Poison Draw Frogs in your Graveyard to Special Summon Ronintoadian and then get all of the banished Frogs you have by summoning Sea Lancer! When equipped with Poison Draw Frog, Sea Lancer cannot be destroyed and whenever a Poison Draw Frog is destroyed, you get to draw 1 card! Paired together with Swap Frog to get all of your Frogs and Toads in the Graveyard and the T.G. engine to allow you to keep hand advantage nearly all of the time, you're guaranteed to have big hands exceedingly quickly! On top of that, the deck consists of mainly Level 2 monsters, so this deck can easily get out one of the most powerful Rank 2 Xyzs of all times... Number 96: Black Mist!

Define what you see as support for an archetype or mechanic.

I see as support for an archtype or mechanic a card, or set of cards thereof, that are, or can be, used to enhance the strength of an archtype or mechanic. This doesn't necessarily have to be a card directly linked by name with said archtype, but it often is.

Define what you see as generic support.

What comes to mind when I hear 'generic support' , I think staple (or easily used in most decks) spell/traps such as monster reborn, dark hole, heavy storm, solemn judgment, solemn warning, trap dustshoot, mirror force, etc.

Please list up to the 3 most common decks you use, and how they work.*

The most common deck I use, and probably my favorite, is Gusto (SQD with Sphreeze OTK as an option). The deck is basically a toolbox revolving around Gusto Gulldo, Gusto Egul, and Wynnda, Priestess of Gusto, which creates a wall of spawning monsters. The amount of monsters in the grave is no matter, as most Gusto support gets the Gusto monsters from the graveyard to the deck to activate their effects, like my personal favorite, Daigusto Gulldos , which basically pays for itself. The Gusto Archtype's best secret weapon is the Sphreeze OTK, where it uses the ability of the Gusto Syncho Daigusto Sphreeze along with the search ability of the Gusto monsters to keep on ramming the opponent, and thus making them lose all their Life Points.
