BFG Studios
Lore: Your opponent cannot attack this card, or the equipped card, if you can target a different monster you control for the attack. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can equip this card to a monster you control as an Equip Card, OR unequip it to Special Summon this card in face-up Attack Position. (A monster can only be equipped with 1 Union Monster at a time. If the equipped monster would be destroyed: Destroy this card instead.) It is basically the standard Union effect, but at the beginning is the added on part... where it helps protect itself, psychically sending the attack to a different monster ... (i've been thinking about this too long lol...) anyway, i chose to do this because Unions are not seen that much (at least for me anyway) and Psychic types are interesting to have... so i thought why not combine the two... but since i dont have a ton of experience making good cards out of both of these factors... this is what you get... i know its a bit basic, but it can be useful any and all feedback is great... thanks in advance... hope you all like it
gimmepie
It's un-unioned effect is good. The only problem I see with it is that it gives little benefit when equipped, unions generally have an additional effect to the standard union effect when equipped. BFG Studios
well... idk any advantages it will give... other than the basic attack boost... still, i know psychic's help each other out a lot, so thats one reason why it was a generic... it will let other monsters you have do the enhancements for you... but im still not sure how well it will work... still, glad you like it... ragnarok1945
eh, all it really does is protect one of your monsters for a turn if it gets destroyed, nothing really new there still, given the first part of the effect that monster would also protect it to a small extent so your opponent will be forced to rely on card effects only though that's probably the more common solution to it anyway
gimmepie
there is no attack boost
BFG Studios
@pie, well, i didnt edit it at all yet, so thats why the effect doesnt look different... anyway, @rag, that small extent is what i wanted this card to rely on... i know thats not the greatest idea, but its still good im at least glad this isnt getting completely hated on
gimmepie
I didn't think it was hated on at all...
Enma Ai
I would give the monster its equipped to a benefit because all it does right now is act like a shield for 1 turn. Maybe add an effect that either increases atk or modifies level, name etc. But whatever its your card, right now its good, I like the picture too. Sander
Waste of Deck space, really. Unions as a whole have a bad design going on with them. Don't get me wrong, the idea is good, just how it was executed leaves one yearning for more. The fact that you have to actually Summon them to get the Union effect going was a poor decision made by the person who thought up Unions. Union Monsters wouldn't be bad if they actually had some good effect when being equipped, but they don't (other than Spirit of the Six Samurai). And when I say that they don't have any good effect(s), I mean they need to have other effects, not just ATK boosting. This card has only one good way to Summon it, which is Emergency Teleport (which is limited, for the record). I wouldn't waste Emergency Teleport on a generic union monster that isn't going to gain me any advantage whatsoever.
BFG Studios
@aether, i can see how Unions could be considered a bad-ish idea... i mean there are effect monsters out there that basically do the same thing... and i know i dont have a whole lot of experience looking at or using unions so maybe thats why this is so generic... so, sorry you wouldnt use it lol... + @octavia, im still trying to think of a boost it can have that isnt just an atk boost... but maybe just (for this card) being generic is fine for now... Sleepy
It's an ok Union. I was about to suggest making it 500 or less in ATK so that it comboes with Machine Duplication. Then I realized it's a Psychic and facepalmed myself. The only problem is in not having a consistent way to spam it for barriers. Other than that it's acceptable. It can equip to any monster without discriminations, and will equally protect them. Seems interesting.
