This format is more Spell/Trap destruction heavy, so chainable and/or cards with earlier activations are better.
What I've noticed, oddly, is that people run the MST's at max, and then everyone knows they will so they wont run many MST targets, so they dont have much to MST. Odd huh?

This card really should be at 2, or 3 now like call of the haunted, and magic cylinder.

your kidding right?
costless field wiping should not be at more than 1, even if it has a simple activation requirement.
I still have this in main or side all the time, because everyone, just admit, this card has saved your ass more than once and will continue to save it for many formats to come.
just because there are counter plays and you can kill it off before it can trigger does not make it bad, not by a long shot.

Mirror force just existing creates a mind-game that any trap could be it. In the current format we have 3 MST and Heavy storm, when that Mirror Force is gone, it's gone for good. If it were any higher there's no certainty that the next one isn't Mirror Force, or the one after that. It's an unhealthy mindset (Much like Gorz) that simply shouldn't have to exist. If it's gone once, it shouldn't be there again, especially with its destructive power.

I tend to assume this format that most people aren't running it and just stick to the BIG 5 (aka Solemn Brigade, TT, Dustshoot).

It makes spamming the field and attacking all out alot less mind-gamish and stressful (with very good prevail), but damn do you ever feel stupid when you lose 3++ monsters when they flip it.

The sheer presence of Mirror Force creates a healthy mindset for the game though. Always provoking players to ask themselves "What if?" which have become staple thoughts when:

- deciding how many backrow to set in case of heavy storm
- deciding to let your biggest monster go in for a direct attack against a blank field in case of gorz
- deciding on how much you want to overextend in case of a next turn dark hole

These are all good things.
