Upcoming cards: Number 32, and Neo Galaxy-Eyes

Recommended Posts

First thing's first, I'm not comparing these two cards to each other, I'm only discussing them. Enjoy.

http://yugioh.wikia....n_-_Shark_Drake

Name: Number 32: Marine Biting Dragon - Shark Drake

Attribute: WATER

Rank: 4

Types: Sea Serpent/Xyz/Effect

ATK/DEF: 2800/2100

Card Effect Type: Trigger

Effect: 3 Level 4 monsters

Once per turn, when this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon that destroyed monster from the Graveyard to your opponent's side of the field with its ATK reduced by 1000, and have this card battle it once again.

Honestly, I think this card is kinda funny. For one, this is a good way of saying, "F*ck you, I'm not done with you yet. I'm gonna kill you again, motherf***er!"

That's one reason I like this card. The other reason is because you it's handy for battling your own monsters like Shining Angel and severl T.G. monsters. You can gain two searches instead of one. an okay card, I guess....................... stupid invalid point crossed out because it doesn't actually work -__-

Overall, that's pretty much all I can see myself doing with this card. In my opinion, I don't really see it being Main Deck worthy, unless you run several monsters with effects that require being destroyed by battle (or sent to the Grave in general) in order to activate (adding cards like Creature Swap into your deck will help achieve Number 32's effect). I'll probably Side it in certain decks, but for now, we'll have to wait and see which decks this card will go well with.

http://yugioh.wikia....s_Photon_Dragon

Name: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon

Attribute: LIGHT

Rank: 8

Types: Dragon/Xyz/Effect

ATK/DEF: 4500/3000

Card Effect Types: Trigger, Ignition

Effect: 3 Level 8 monsters

When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" as Xyz Material: Negate the effects of all other face-up cards on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; detach all Xyz Material from monsters your opponent controls. This turn, this card gains 500 ATK for each Xyz Material detached, and during this turn's Battle Phase, this card can attack equal to the number of Xyz Materials detached by this effect.

Gotta say this first thing to get it out of the way, but... THIS IS F*CKING OVER POWERED.

Second, this may require 3 Level 8 monsters, so some noobs might think this is too hard to summon or something, but its effect is DEVASTATING. Detach 1 Xyz Material from it, it can attack once like a normal card would. But nooooo... End up detaching 3 or 4 materials on the field, you looking for an overkill here. The fact that it can gain 500 for each material detached by this effect makes it even stronger.

Detach only 1 Xyz Material from the only Xyz monster on the field (Neo Galaxy), gain 500 ATK, attack once. 5000 damage.

Detach 2 Xyz Materials on the field, gain 1000 ATK, attack twice. 11,000 damage.

Detach 3 Xyz Materials, gain 1500 ATK, attack three times. 18,000 damage.

ARE YOU F*CKING SERIOUS? Oh, did I mention that this card also negates the effect of ALL face-up cards when it's summoned (Using Galaxy-Eyes as an overlay)? Sure, all cards effects can activate again AFTER it's summoned, but this card can never be denied when it's played. That's how I see it. (exaggerating to the max FTW!!) I'm totally serious right here. No, I'm not. Yes I am. F*ck you, editor.

Based on the fact that this card can be an 8000 ATK, 7 time attacking monster dealing a total of 56,000 damage, adding the temporary effect-negating effect, I think it's safe to say that when this card comes out, it's going to be limited.

What do you guys think?

So, so, so much wrong here.

First off, section rules say you can't discuss cards that have nothing to do with each other like this as the same topic.

Shark Drake is worded so that you cannot abuse floaters, so you're wrong there. "Opponent's monster" ruins it.

NGEPD works like SSD and it can't gain upon gain. Further, ore, it negates all cards that are face-up upon its summon while they are face-up on the field.

It also depends on them having an Xyz out when you get out 3 Level 8s. It's good for casual, but not competitive.

OOOH! CREATURE SWAP ABOOOS!

Awesome.

"Opponent's monster"

Doesn't work for the aboos.

I think you're insane if you think Neo Galaxy-Eyes is OPed.

Granted, it's a better card if it actually detaches ALL opponent's Overlays instead of just all from 1 Xyz, and that just makes it ungodly epic, but the negation effect is subpar and the Summoning Conditions pretty much require an entire Deck devoted to it, and a Shooting Quasar Deck is more consistent and easier.

That said, Neo Galaxy-Eyes is epic as hell and I love it for what it is.

You sure? I would assume they mean, like, a monster your opponent is controlling. After all, the card says, "Special Summon from the Graveyard"...

Then again, that's just my noob logic.

Also, I didn't read this section's rules. This is my first time posting here. I'll read them next time. :(

Goyo just says "that monster". When I asked about it, evilfusion said it meant no Floater Abuse.

It depends on the final wording of Number 32. The last time I looked, it said to "Special Summon that opponent's monster...", which meant no floater abuse. But we all know that those crucial wording details are always foggy before the card is officially released. Like before, Neo Galaxy-Eyes said to target an opposing Xyz and detach everything. Now it allegedly doesn't target and instead detaches all Xyz Materials from all opposing monsters.

As for TC's comment about Neo Galaxy being impossible to deny: That's just wrong. Bottomless, Torrential, etc are all still valid forms of removal when you Summon it. That's because it's a Trigger Effect and thus starts a chain, not negating everything until resolution.

You really think I'm stupid Black? There's a reason for the multiple quotes in my first post.

Didn't actually read, considering Manjyome still says "That opponent's", and the wikia, apparently, says waht the OP says.

So, Shark Drake is potentially abuseless

Fixed the post about me being exaggerating. Forgot to point that out >_>

I guess so. :/

But I still like its "f*ck you" effect ;)

Anyway, anyone else wanna share their opinions on the two cards? Moar thoughts are nice, ppl :D

I'm evilfusion. How do you think I feel about Neo Galaxy-Eyes?

Number 32 is just a Number that, while epic, is too much of an investment for the Effect. I'm much more likely to go into Disigma or Verz Ouroboros before even thinking of putting that in.

I agree on your opinion on 32. I'd use a different monster now, especially after I found out it doesn't work the way I thought it did. :/

I read your post about NGEPD, so I know how you feel about it.

So your post isn't being ignored. Thought I should point that out. :)

What about the fact that it can deal 908328943883223093222200 damage? exaggeration FTW!!

You don't get me yet, do you? Nor do a few other people. It's getting disheartening...

I'm pretty much THE Kaito/Galaxy-Eyes fanboy on YCM. If you make a topic about Galaxy-Eyes or Neo Galaxy-Eyes, I will almost definitely show up and gush about it while acknowledging how unplayable they are competitively. Thus, my comment about me being evilfusion isn't about the post I made, but the fact I love the card to death, even if it's nearly impossible to use.

Neo Galaxy-Eyes isn't easy to bring out at all. But it's epic as hell and I'm almost dying to see the episode when it gets Summoned.

Konami's wording failure is a large troll, just like how unclear it was when Corrosive Infestation's first part appeared to be worded like an effect but is actually a cost.

Anyways, I might give some love to Number 32.

Corrosive Infestation is a cost now?

And evidently, Verz Nightmare may be optional. This came up when I was modding DN, and the DN card says it's mandatory, but Wiki and Japanese Wiki evidently say it's optional. That was...problematic, because how the hell are you supposed to rule something like that?

you get rejected on DGz for being stupid, claim that your validity comes from YCM.

YCM rejects you for stupidity. faulty use of authority my friend.

also its really easy to pull off with Future Fusion

best post in the whole topic

it's so f***ing true and makes me ashamed if anybody brings up YCM when talking to someone on DGz
