Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

Recommended Posts

Should be banned.
Card is part of loops that are bad for the game and will always be able to be pulled off. Getting rid of all of Hand, Field, and Grave is amazing.
Loops aside, just putting this thing on the board can lead to too much advantage to even think about keeping it around. Mist Wurm isn't any more skillful, but it leaves a decent level 9 Synchro option.

It's a +1 Synchro...

That's all that needs to be said about it.
1. Invest 3 cards to summon it ( -3 )
2. Get out 1 Trishula ( +1 )
3. Remove 1 from hand ( +1 )
4. Remove 1 from field ( +1 )
5. Remove 1 from grave ( net 0 )

-3 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 0

Unless you use floaters to Summon it, or you gained advantage to get out the materials (Debris Dragon etc), it is a net 0.

Fine, net 0 with a grave removal.

Good enough to count as a +1 with the state of the game.

And in doing this you completely screw your opponent.

I wouldn't say that.
More often than not, if the opponent has stuff set up to where you need Trish to screw them, they've already got it, or have a backup.
Either way, IMHO, I'd keep it @1.

Ok, I'll just remove your Monsters from play, banish your Important Card in the Graveyard X and hit card Y in your hand. And now I summon Tour Guide and go Leviair and take your Monster and attack with all 3 of them.

Cool.

Again, fairly easy for decks to come back from that now. I've seen that move more than once.

Again, my opinion.
Tish can stay at 1.

If you don't win the game after sucessfully getting this card's effect off at some point you seriously should quit
Yes because you could avoid being unlucky and not hitting the out the opponent had in his hand.

Or because you're obviously supposed to be able to banish all 4 of the outs in your opponent's Graveyard.

why would you just randomly summon trish like that though? You don't just drop a boss monster without protection

lol

There is always a counter. Dropping a boss doesn't guarantee you the win, even with protection. It just makes it easier.

Doesn't help when your opponent's packing some pretty big heat in their hand that you manage to miss.
