THROWDOWN
YCM, what is your take on the gay population? Is it right, is it wrong? Give reasons for your opinions. There are posters all over London that read; 'Some people are gay. Get over it." Personally, I think it's wonderful that people, homosexual or not, are standing up for gay rights. What's your take on it?
Guest Mu-12
Honestly? There shouldn't have had this discrimination in the first place. Everyone is a special person, with their traits and abilities. If one chose/is homossexual, so be it. What's the point of laughing at that person, or hurting them physically? If the fact bothers you, simply... stay away?
Zeal Ascendant
It disgusts me that some people think being gay is wrong. It's perfectly fine and there's no reason ANYONE should be discriminated against because of it.
Tentacruel
Umm... . What? Right or wrong, gays deserve rights. But they have rights. The only thing they can't do is get married, which is slowly changing.

THROWDOWN
The idea of this as a "debate" is sickening. They have their preferences, other people should let them be. There is nothing wrong with it. What are the arguments against them anyways? You'd be surprised. I know a lot of people who are completely against homosexuality due to their religion and the culture they have been brought up in. Things like believing that being a homosexual will put you in Hell is their idea of an argument. You don't have to debate this. You are meant to discuss the concept and put your opinions across. I never said, or even insinuated for you to debate this.
Greiga
If someone disturbs you, simply keep the f*** away. If someone likes something you don't, then find something else to talk about or go talk to someone else. Bullying gay people is downright stupid and is exactly like any other kind of bullying. Also people standing up for other people with wanting nothing in return is marvelous by itself. The fact that they're doing it for all the people who the world looks down on, at least in some places I've been to, is even better. @above: Some would argue Jesus was also gay. So now what do we have here? I thought God said all was equal, how are gays gonna go to hell, according to the religious, if Jesus went up to heaven. John A. Zoidberg
Bringing a religious ideology into a political argument is wrong, as your religion doesn't govern the lives of others if they don't believe the same. Also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtJ_sDRRVVI The video is NSFW, btw. I'll remove it if the mods want me to.

Guest Cronus
Male bedbugs in Africa rape each other. Suck it god.So much for his creations.God said we are all created equal then why did the Bible say that Gays would go to Hell?God also said he gave us freedom yet forced us to bow down to his morals or face eternal hellfire.Honestly I a getting tired of the bullsh*t I get from Homophobes. They are f*cking pointless human beings with no worth in this world whatsoever.
Guest Ɽarity
I am not gay! Why does everyone say that? I like guys, and I am a guy. Girls are something too, I like them.
Tentacruel
Might as well have named the topic "Religion." Just saying. Part of the reason hate toward gay people has continued even in this society is because of how obnoxious some people are about it. Half of you are hating on people of a certain political/religious demographic, which is extremely hypocritical and ironic.
Resident Fascist
I'm an athiest. Mainly because religion is so flawed. "If you do Y, bad thing X will happen. This is because it was written in Book Z. Devote [Entire Life] to being good or bad thing L will happen and that's bad, again because this is written in Book Z means it must be real!" I'll only believe what I can see, thanks. Quite convinient how a God can just stay in "The Heavens" all the time, and never appears to say anything or do anything. I mean, I don't hate religion at all, I just don't practice it. I have no problems with people being gay as long as they don't shove it in my damn face. I'm not a people person at all, mostly locking my door with 2 Padlocks and keeping everyone the f*** away from me. Does that make me wierd? huh?huh?! Fader
Its stupid that they are discriminated. They are just another minority. Homosexuality has been around for a LOOONG time so I do not see why they are descriminated. And I'm a Christian and even I don't see an issue with it. I don't get why the others try to prevent it. It's not like just because you couldn't prevent it they're going to get in the Pearly Gates, let them live their life without criticism.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
I know religion can be big on this, but let's try to keep it out of the topic. It's not the only reason for the homo-hate.
evilhorus
Religion has probably been the biggest source of homophobia though. Love thy neighbour, as long as they aren't gay, Jewish, Black, etc Anyway, this is why I'm so interested in Greek history and society. If Greek Love were to be modernized and accepted in today's society, it would be glorious. The Greeks were an amazingly tolerant people in some ways. I also dislike how it's very hard to be a "good" politician if you're gay. An ideal politician, according to society's general consensus, is a married man or woman with children, which is totally retarded. A gay man or woman could do the same job as a married one, and the idea has no great foundation. Take David Norris for example. He was running as a presidential candidate here in Ireland, and the media couldn't get enough of him. Anyway, he was involved in some controversy, and I guarantee you, in Christan Ireland, if it were a straight man in a similar situation, it would do much less to him reputation. Tentacruel
Er, a fair bit of overly conservative ones.Even the most conservative conservatives aren't openly racist. Personally I don't see why this issue can't be like premarital sex. Some people are fine with it. Some people don't approve. No one gives a damn. evilhorus
What religious people have you been talking to? O_oI'm talking about hardcore Christians. You're a good Christian and you're standing up for your faith, that's understandable, but these people exist.

Tentacruel
Uh, thank you. But I feel obligated to point out that people like that are in no way, more Christian, or "hardcore Christians." If anything they are less Christian. It's like if a professed Buddhist went around murdering people. He wouldn't be a Buddhist extremist, he'd be a horrible Buddhist.
