It took a tole on the respect of the US, he has a right to say that. Which I agree. The guy might of been messed up but he is still a soldier of the US and he fights for it, which is representation for the country. We have to take fault for doing it even if we did not authorize it. ❤ Lovely Warrior ❤
Something like this happened during Vietnam but 10 times worse. That was an order from their commanders though. Either he/she was one of those "I hate all Muslims and joined the Military to take care of them" or it could have just been something like a misreading from a communication he/she got or something. I don't know I didn't exactly read the article. Probably should have.
You are correct. So long as America punishes this guy for murder. You can't go "Whelp, that's war!" over this. This is a man brutally killing innocent civilians, including children, for no discernible reason. If the American military and/or government attempts to cover for him and brush over the incident, they are complicit in the murders.

This can't be considered 'our country'- hell, far from it. This is their country; that is, the people who are in charge are the real owners. ~/Coolio Prime\~
They're all a bunch of ADD riddled ex-jock rejects and the army shouldn't even be over there. Though, on the note of the urination video, it's kind of weird that those videos got out while the ones with decapitated and maimed US solidiers never do. I guess Middle Easterners aren't nearly as interested in documenting their progressive decline into sociopathy with social media, unless they feel like sending a fake message while dressed like Osama. Cin
I'd wonder about if this was the actions of someone suffering as the result of a tour of duty, he'd already toured 3 times in Iraq before going to Afghanistan.
You sound as if we are all at fault for the actions of individuals. Soldiers whose minds are very likely unstable after years of fighting against an enemy that they cannot determine whether is being aided or abetted by the citizens of the country they're in. And to say that we're going to disown our country is just like saying you'll disown yours. Face it. There's something your country does that your government should be ashamed of. Are you at fault? No. Are you going to disown your country? Unlikely. Let me give you a quote from Mark Twain: You should show loyalty in your country at all times, and your government when it deserves it. To say that the actions of several probably angry and unstable soldiers shows the mindset and personalities of all Americans, as you have, is ignorant and pathetic. Please just stop now before you further make a fool out of yourself.
Way to act like a douche. Look, people die every day. This was a terrible thing, yes, and I hate that a guy from America is being an absolute idiot like usual, but you know what? This isn't a big deal. s*** like this happens all the time. Is the fact that I just don't care anymore a bad thing? I don't care about 9/11 as much anymore either, does that suddenly make me a bad person? No, it means I'm used to people dying. And I'm young. So you know what Polaris? I do care that these people were slaughtered in cold blood. And I care that they were mostly children. But there is not ANYTHING I can do about that. I'm not a magical time traveler who can stop this guy from killing those people. Also, something ELSE you might be interested to know is that I was responding to Clair in that post. So yeah, I kinda didn't mention anything else because it was near midnight, I was fighting with my boyfriend, and I wasn't in that good a mood. So why the hell am I gonna spend that time typing out what everyone should already know? With topics like this, it's a terrible thing yes, but it doesn't automatically mean all American's are terrible people. Are a lot of us? Yeah, I'll admit that, but not everyone. Honestly, we're no worse then the rest of you. However, we get all the heat because we have idiots running us who think we should be leading the world. For example, you're an ass, and I think that is a pretty good example of your country. People on the internet are all the same. "WE AREN'T FROM AMERICA, SO HA WE HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU SUCK AND ARE CRUEL TO EVERYONE." Not all of Americans are like that Polaris. But I'm not gonna worry my head off about this because I know I can't do anything about it. This guy will get what he deserves if people have the smallest bit of common sense. Hopefully we do right now, because after seeing you, I have even less faith in humanity.
