Should you give up your seat for women on a bus?

Unless the person is old (either man or woman) or a woman who is pregnant, I do not give up the seat. I do not also give up the seat sometimes because all the old people have already taken all the seats so I have to stand. This usually happens in the mornings.

This, basicially. Or if they're my friend or something. I like standing up anyway, so I usually give it up most the time.

I'm young enough to be able to stand for ninety percent of the day. I'd gladly give up my seat to a woman. But not just a woman, another guy as well.

"OH THERE'S OTHER SEATS HURR".

Pitiful argument. If it's that simple, then what would it take for you to get off your lazy butt and give your seat to a lady? You self absorbed little brat.

If she's pregnant, elderly, looks incredibly tired (like a nurse who looks like she's about to die), if there's one seat next to me and one seat across from me and two people who know each other come on (better to have the two talking next to each other then across from each other), or if I'm one stop away and they ask, then yes I would do it. In all other cases, of course not.

You kidding? Of course it's sexist. You're still basing actions on their sex instead of their person. It's the same reason affirmitive action is stupid.

I'm an incredibly vain and petty individual, I'd only do it if the girl were attractive.

I hope you're joking. I was raised to be very polite and respectful to women. Even with little things. Like openings doors, offering my seat, etc.

Question:
Is it sexist if I hold doors for people in general but happen to do so for a woman?

Since you aren't making the decision to hold the door open based on their sex, I would not consider it so.
