Tornadoes

There was once a tornado watch on my campus, and a bunch of the RAs in various dorms had to rouse the students and move them into the basements, which were flooding. Either my RA doesn't care, or....yeah, probably my RA just didn't care. I slept through it and then laughed at all the people who had to sit in ankle deep water at 3 in the morning.

We had this storm a couple weeks ago. We had a Math test I didn't study for (Got a B on it.) They said stay in the rooms until they called it. It was safe to go ONE minute BEFORE dismissal to Math class. We were all flipping out.

Besides that, I live on the very edge of Tornado Valley, and I haven't had anything within a 10 mile radius of any, and I MEAN any, of the areas I have ever inhabited since Hugo. It flooded when I was a baby, but we got to a high hill before any damage could happen to us.

I've never seen, or heard a tornado before and I hope I never do tbqh.

A thunderstorm is the worst I've probably been in, good ol' England. :)

This is pretty much the same with me except that I live in Australia.

Although once when I was walking home from school I saw a small dust tornado appear over by my neighbors place. I was like "Whoa OMG a tornado!" o:

i live in the "tornado alley" of canada so i get few tornadoes every year around my area. its mostly open farmland so they rarely do any real damage. although a few years ago one cut right through one of the main streets of my town and passed infront of my house. it was pretty surreal waking up at 4 am and looking outside, all i could see was a green mist and downed trees everywhere. ive also seen a couple big tornadoes when i was traveling around the soulthern states in the US. shits scary yo.

Nothing besides that. England just usually has enough rain to ruin a picnic or tempatures that beat Egypt.

Actually the UK has about 50 tornadoes per year (BBC) the most of any European country. The UK has more Tornados per square metre than the US (my Geography teacher a few year back).

I don't know how I'd react to being in a tornado, closet I got was a 24 hour Thunderstorm when I was in Florida about 10 years ago.

Well, if we've had a hurricane, I've never seen one. I think it's what part you're in. But to be honest, I've never heard of one being in England. Maybe Scotland.

I said Tornadoes. We don't have warm enough seas to get hurricanes.

Worst thing I got in Boston was this one week blizzard some odd 7-8 years ago, and the groundshaking earthquake last year.

If I saw a tornado, I would chase it.

I felt that earthquake too :o That was freaky, considering it happened on the east coast.

And anyway, I've never seen a tornado but I bet it's pretty nasty.

Tropical climate is needed for a tornado to start, so we're just getting smaller storms up here.

The Midwest in America is Tornado Alley, and it's no where near tropical. Where are you getting that malarkey? -_-'

Yep, flat plains and warm humid summmers make big storms.
