That would only happen if they made an entire deck that was essentially full of Instant Xyzs. (As in, similar to Instant Fusion)

Otherwise, this card just clogs or it isn't necessary at all.

Increase ATK by 200 X rank and treat this card as an XYZ material.

Though my guess is that with overlay regenerate is just being pratical with making it so you don't feel like your losing anything from it.

I meant a decktype where the Xyzs get effects dependant upon the number of materials, because you know that Konami are eventually going to make "2+ Level 4" Xyzs.

I think it won't be played that much, maybe in Stellars oר something. I mean, how often do you get to use Emeral\Chain's effect for example twice, and then keeping it face up for a 3rd turn? :\
