(This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) It seems that Polymerization is wholy useless nowadays, since it costs most of your hand or field advantage to use, thus, the only Fusion archetypes that can really exist are the ones with alternate Fusion cards. I have to wonder what it was like when people would make Polymerization decks, it must have been fun back then. Anyway, discuss the way Fusions have changed over the years, and if they have a future in the game.
mido9
Polymerization has been useless in any near competitive scene since 1999. The only cards that made fusions remotely viable competitively were miracle fusion, still playable now, metamorphosis, wise design which konami shafted for it's preference for bad card design, and future fusion, which is rarely used for fusing in the first place. Thomas★Zero
Well with the fact that HEROS have their Omni Fusions Poly can see play through that atleast where you can basiclly use both Poly and Miracle Fusion on the same turn to Fusion Summon a Great Tornado and The Shining to reduce your opponents monsters ATK and DEF by Half plus form a combined ATK total of 6000, plus any additional monster you can summon which can easily be to be at tops around 7900 with a Neos Alius. Mysty
Anime Polymerization was... Yeah.........
How was it any different? The idea in the title sounds like a stupid one. However, i kinda wish that fusion monsters couldn't be used as Fusion Material for a Fusion Monster of the same name. That just would make sense flavorwise. It could fuse any two monsters and create a random hybrid out of nowhere.
No, even Omni Heroes do not play the regular Polymerization. Heroes in general play Miracle Fusion and possibly Super Polymerization. TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Polymerization was deamed bad, along with many other fusion cards, due to its high cost for the potential of negation or destruction of the card summoned.
