[/quote] It's all for the sake of making money. Konami makes super overpowered broken card that ends up being worth a lot. It lasts a format (sometimes 2 or 3 because they're stupid). Card gets banned never to be used again or Limited or Semi-Limited because for some illogical reason, they believe cards like this are perfectly acceptable at one or two but absurd at 3. Just look at Gustav. 3000 is a perfect number to laugh at Gorz and Tragoedia. 2000 is the perfect amount of burn to be a game ender but not to be heralded as "Broken" on its own. Rank 10 means it can be used in up-and-coming stuff they made (Read: Zealgigas and Hieratics). Extra Deck with burn generally = Abusable or broken, as seen by Blaze Fenix and Dark Strike Fighter, like this. It's meticulously designed to be the monster it is =T Konami needs to stop hating on Gorz and just ban it. Since I'd like to continue to win tournaments and the like, wanting Gustav to play a competitive Hieratic Deck doesn't really seem like much of a stupid decision at all, really. As much as it would be interesting for TCG to have access to this card, it would result in REDMD getting hit in September and I'd rather have access to 15/40 anyway. TCG has Chaos Dragons anyways C. Konami isn't as idiotic as people treat them, though they are intentionally so at times. It IS a game ender, one way or another. [/quote] The difference is consistency and timing. You topdeck bls turn one, with a 1/40 chance of getting it, what are you going to do with it? Hieratic OTK, on the other hand, is three cards that can differ and are extremely searchable. And not to mention the fact it can F/Otk consistently.
