It's quite obvious that the Myr mana combo is horribly inconsistent.

Besides, ramping into Blue Sun's Zenith is probably better.

The combo is really inconsistent and it would be better to go into an eldrazi or something more. Blightsteel isn't the best because it dies from a basic Tragic Slip.
Heartless Summoning makes things quicker for the infinite mana combo.
Which also, it takes sometime for you to deck things, mostly galvanizers with Blue Sun's, so it is even less likely for you to get it.

Myr Galvanizer helps a lot though when swinging with like 10 myrs. +1/+1 and you can untap them to block other things.
It ruins the idea of Perilous Myr and Heartless Summoning though.
Which, it is the boss of Myrs.
I can usually accomplish the infinite mana by turn 6, or I lose. You want to have back up combos with it.
Havengul Lich, Heartless Summoining, Perilous is good too.
You also want strong creatures that cost no more than 7-8, mostly artifacts, so you can win the game faster.
Surgical Extractions can also just easily get rid on the combo in an instant.
