evilfusion Posted June 16, 2012 Report Share Posted June 16, 2012 It looks interesting, but it's rarely worth the Deck space. It could be used in some sort of Skill Drain based Deck, where the 1000 ATK boost is already excellent in addition to the one monster Skill Drain, making that no-Tribute Barbaros a 4000 beater, but you take 500 damage every turn, which can accumulate rapidly, and it doesn't have nearly the same benefits as Skill Drain itself, which can shut down a large number of other Decks and support your plays at the same time, for only a one-time fee of 1000 LP, plus being S/T bait whereas Axe will only be targeted if the equipped monster has such a massive downside that simple monster removal isnt as effective. I actually saw a call on DN where the players realized abruptly that Axe dealt 500 to the controller, which lost the player the Duel since he had played it two turns ago with only 1000 LP left.
