Now the concert may finally begin! I shall now begin randomly assigning the genres. Remember, these genres are final, and no switching! I'm keeping a record. Remember to send all of your Decklists and your brief explanations behind them to me. Either screencaps from DN or written lists are accepted. Also, remember that if you are using a specific song from your genre, [i]send that song along with your Decklist AND explanation!! [/i]Any adjustments to a previously submitted Deck will be accepted, as long as the new Decklist is PM'ed. Lastly, [b]those of you who have a Rock subgenre. [/b][b]This is important.[/b] I am only accepting ONE Rock-type Deck in this tournament, to avoid tons of Rock decks being present in this tourney. A Rock-type Deck for a Rock subgenre is an easy way out as well, which is another reason why I am only accepting one. If I receive a Rock-type Deck after one has already been submitted, [i]it WILL be denied! [/i]So, you run a risk of making a Rock-deck, as it may not be accepted. At the same time, if you rush to get a Rock Deck in, it may not be as polished as it should be for the tournament. So choose your Deck wisely!! Okay, I think that's it! [/quote] That sucks... Well, I suppose if anyone would like to take over Dharc's spot in the tourney with a Techno-themed Deck is welcome to. Otherwise, it will be as Dharc said: he will be entered normally into Challonge and whoever he faces gets a bye. A note to everyone: even if people drop, the tourney will still continue as scheduled. Anyone who drops and is without replacement will simply result in a bye for their opponent. I would prefer not to prolong this tournament into triviality due to unfortunate schedules, so this is a policy that shall be put into place for the rest of the tourney. Now, a few things that I would like to clear up that arose from the first round of PMs last night. I will accept VGM songs, [i]as long as the VGM accurately reflects your genre.[/i] What I mean by that last part is that it needs to be purely your genre, not Rock with <insert your genre here> influences. Lastly, we got a Deck last night that broke a rule here, and I wanted to remind everyone as to prevent it from happening again. Remember, [i]no meta Decks are allowed in this tourney.[/i] Your logic may be completely sound, but if you submit a Deck that is considered meta, it will not be accepted. The reason behind this is that using a meta Deck in this tourney 1) completely defeats the point of this tourney, which is to Duel using creative Decks that are based off of an unconventional medium, and 2) are too powerful to compete in a tourney where there are a few people that may have limited resources with which to make a Deck. So, banning meta Decks makes the playing field a little more even. Okay, that's all for now. Keep checking the thread for any updates. Also, we need one more person to take over -Dharc-'s spot!! All I know is that I was quite clever with how I described my deck. Or at least Rose says I was, haha. But...my deck is slow. Then again, all Operas are slow and take awhile to reach their climax. Someone who really likes the genre in question has a leg up on the other people who had the decks randomly assigned. Also, you gonna post the bracket soon?
