This tourney will push your creativity and strategy to the limit as you are forced to think outside of the box while creating a tournament-worthy Deck. Participants shall be PM'ed a randomly assigned musical genre from a preselected list. Their task is simple: make a Deck that somehow corresponds to and relates to the theme of that genre. Participants may choose to build their Deck based off of a specific song from that genre or the genre as a whole, so a bit of research may be necessary in order to build the perfect Deck. When we have everyone sign up, the genres and their respective participant shall be revealed. Now then, the rules:[list] [*]This shall be a single elimination tournament with a maximum of 16 participants. [*]Each Duel is best two out of three, so Side Decks are recommended. Side Decks must also follow the theme of the Deck. Extra Decks do not. [*]No meta Decks, stall, burn, or alternate win conditions are allowed. The point of this tourney is to force you to think creatively, given a specific theme. [*]Genres will be PM'ed after everyone has signed up. [*]Decklists must be PM'ed to me before the tourney begins so that I may approve them. If I do not think your Deck adequately embodies the genre, it will be denied. All participants MUST include a small explanation as to why their Decks relate to the genre. I'm not looking for Music Theory logic here, but at the same time, I will not accept "This Deck ROCKS!!!!1!!" for a Rock-themed Deck. [*]If you decide to base your Deck off of a specific song, that song MUST be PM'ed along with your Decklist. [*]After a Match, both Duelists must confirm who won in this thread. I have plenty of different genres in mind, not just Rock and its subgenres. ;P Oh, and I think it's important for me to point out that while I will make sure your Deck is relevant, I'm not going to be a complete and total b***h about it. Again, I'm not looking for some insanely deep Musical Theory. If your Deck sort of makes sense, it will most likely be approved. Instead of keeping the genres secret until the tourney starts, I'm just going to release them when we have everyone signed up and assigned to a genre.
