[/quote]I am part of the LGBTQ*. We go by the name to include Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgendered, and Questioning. Questioning is also an umbrella term used by many. It includes Gender-f***, Undecided, etc.
It is to allow people to not feel excluded from a group, and sets off the idea of independence. It may not be completely set out, but it is the correct name that things go by.
And Wikipedia isn't the best site to get information. The link includes LGBTQ, but links to LGBT. Kind of giving off the wrong info, which isn't always true.

But I get your point, there has never been an openly homosexual president, and I don't think we'll see one anytime within the next decade.

I don't agree with the boycotts either, but you have to put them into perspective. Would you boycott a company that openly supported something you had a problem with? Probably not, but it's something to think about.


You gotta be objective. Love and tolerance means accepting people even when you don't agree with them. Especially when you don't agree with them.

You said it 2-3 times in this thread. Nobody keeps a bluff like that in a thread for that long.

Christ taught me to be compassionate and tolerant of all people, no matter their situation. People...happen to corrupt those teachings with their ideals of homophobia and whatnot. It is sickening, but it really can't be helped. For now, people need to focus on giving compassion and tolerance to everyone, especially the needy. When we do that, then we truly can be united as a world, and everyone's faith in humanity will be restored.
