Dementuo
That's weird. The new wording suggests that cards in the grave are still legal targets for things like Avarice, Reborn, REDMD, etc.
Sleepy
Legal targets yeah, but the targetting card will be negated like that, it seems.
Agro
They're legal targets, but if you try to move them with the effects, then their effects will be negated. So as long as you don't try to move it... Still, I feel like there's a few new ways one could be able to get around Necrovalley now. Are there cards that can move cards in the Graveyard that cannot be negated? If so, then don't they get around the ruling?
Dementuo
They're legal targets, but if you try to move them with the effects, then their effects will be negated. So as long as you don't try to move it...
Point being that all prior erratas of Necrovalley stated that cards could not be targeted/affected, meaning they weren't legal targets. This errata is completely different.
darkwolf777
Kevin Tewart is an idiot. This text does not reflect what Necrovalley does as it does not "negate" anything. Adding new terms such as "that would move a card" is also idiotic. The Starter Deck: Marik errata says it best: All "Gravekeeper's" monster gain 500 ATK and DEF. Cards in either player's Graveyard cannot be removed from play. Cards in either player's Graveyard cannot be affected by card effects, except for their own effects.
Point being that all prior erratas of Necrovalley stated that cards could not be targeted/affected, meaning they weren't legal targets.
Incorrect. A target that is "not affected" does not make it an illegal target. If Necrovalley is on the field, you can activate Monster Reborn and target a monster in the Graveyard. The monster in the Graveyard will not be affected by the effects of Necrovalley and will stay there. The Marik errata is the best version of the card. This new one is complete garbage and does not make things better. Instead of creating new terms which don't make sense, explain to the people what "is not affected" means, Tewart. Once again, Necrovalley DOES NOT NEGATE cards.
Canadian
Once again, Necrovalley DOES NOT NEGATE cards.
This. They're just asking for a whole onslaught of questions regarding the card now.
This Account is Unplayable
It's a real Of a card? Tewart lives in a weird world.
Agro
Yet if we go with "they are unaffected", then the idea that Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror would stop a monster in the Graveyard from activating the effect goes out the window.
darkwolf777
After arguing a bunch, apparently Necrovalley actually does negate the effects of those cards, though a ruling regarding Drill Warrior not being Special Summoned with its effect while Necrovalley is on the field showed that. I suppose its another page in the ol' yugioh book that needs to be written down.
